I use the same method as you. I am getting too old to get on my knees.

I have had to find special tools to aid in cleaning from a chair, and I found this great tool just for the bathroom. It has a nice heavy duty metal extendable pole and on the end you can attach various cleaning pads and scrubbers. The best one has a point on one end, there's a swivel joint where the cleaning part attaches to the pole that makes it swivel around the toilet easily and works great for the shower also. The one I have and use the most has a scrubber surface on a sponge type pad. The extendable feature is great since I can't get as close as I once could.

Mr clean magic eraser has a version, rubbermaid has a version, scotch Brite has a version there's a lot of similar ones. Just search Google for extendable reach bathroom cleaner. The Rubbermaid set is really nice they have a lot of different tools.

I like the looks of that Rubbermaid one that ravencajun linked to, but have never tried anything like that. I reach back there, just like pammy and chris do, only instead of a rag, I use a clorox wipe (or a couple).

I use the Magic Eraser, and just last afternoon picked up the pole for toilets.

My hands are not strong enough(severe arthritis) for cleaning with traditional rags and scrubbers....so i fell in love with the Magic eraser years ago.

I use a wet rag and my foot to move it aroud the base of the toilet~~used to mop my floor using rags and my feet, i saw my pals cleaning lady do this once, she had a wet one for one food and a dry on for the other~~~I just use a wet one. Now I use a swiffer, love it.

I went and looked at mine and mine is an oxo brand, very nice and well made. I use a spray bottle with vinegar, water and a few drops of blue dawn. I spray it on the tile then use the scrubber. Works great. From my chair I can not reach with arms or feet so these extendable things really are handy and they pivot every direction. And I can take one of my microfiber cloths and lay it down and use the pad to push it around too.

Did that cleaning lady have something special for one foot, of which most of us were unaware, up till now?

Was this double duty, a quick fix for food preparation ... or was it moved so fast that it helped with the cooking?

I bought the Mr Clean Magic eraser toilet "brush" last week.
Only $9.99, with 3 pads.

With my RA, I don't have the hand strength to scrub hard..but this thing woks wonders for both inside the bowl and outside. The wand is slightly curved so that you can get under the Bowl lip, and the floor back in back.

I keep a supply of rags for things like this.
