This is the link to the one she and I both found not crazy about the color but maybe something similar in different color? Last years was poofy and pink so this being her senior year she want totally diffent....Stacy

Opps forgot to the post the link and fixing to run out for the day....if you go to 4prom.com and find the dress called Quinceanera, that is the one she likes so far....she does't like the color though....

I'd have Tanner use all the products. I tried using just the cleanser but saw better results when I used the whole program. I've been using Proactiv for years. It's getting too expensive for me to continue. I was in WM the other day picking up DH's prescriptions and noticed there are several "kits". I love proactiv. The mask is great, I spot it on at night for breakouts. I hope these others are just as good.

There is nothing in Proactive that has not been available for years off the shelves in store. Proactive just packs up a kit of these types of items. Read the labels and check the active ingredients, then hunt for similar products on the store shelves. You can contact Proactive and get an ingredient listing if you request.

Both of my kids used Proactiv-it got a little pricey buying the kits for both of them. For them the Neutrogena products, that you buy over the counter, worked just as well and were a lot cheaper. I'm not knocking Proactiv-they both liked it and got good results it was just kind of pricey.

If you are looking for poufy dresses start by narrowing it down to designers that are known for poufy. Betsey Johnson is one of them.

You had a very good idea by looking at Quinceanera dresses since they are usually poufy and ballroom style. Often they are only available in white, but since they usually do not have lace they won't look like a wedding dress and you can dress the look up with a colored waist sash and shoes. If you are feeling creative you can even add poufy colored applicai to the skirt.

re Proactive. It is pricey but if working for them it's cheaper than dermatologist. Other stuff: Acne Free-similair packaging as proactive sold everywhere in stores like Walgeens/wal-mart and costs less. Should use both a benzol peroxide(BP)= kills acne and something with salicylic acid (like stridex) that helps with exfoliation or un-sticking the dead cells from surface of skin. My favorite things though are: Aveeno/collidal oatmel in bar form, good for exfoliating, is fairly cheap and lasts a while.(I don't care for their liquid soaps) Queen Helen mint julipe mask (has sulfer works for some) and sometimes a B.P. cream of some form. I am in my late 40's and have tried everything under the sun. Can't use B.P. too much on my skin any more, it can bee a bit harsh. There is also PanOxyl, has BP, in 2 different strenghths, start w/5% every other day at first, I have my son using this and getting good results on face and back. Dermatologists never seemed to help me much, all the antibiotics stopped working after a while. Only add one product at a time just in case ther is a reaction to something/or too harsh you can tell what it is......One other thing that works well...sounds weird though. Use calamine lotion (the pink kind that settles and you have to shake it to mix) on just the spots over night, helps pimples dry up quickly. Apply using a q-tip.

The "Acne Free" brand has worked well for us at our house - available at Wal-Mart. We really like the foaming cleanser.

I think the big key with teen boys..is them actually using it TWICE a day..even atleast once..

My teen doesn't have full blown pimples or acne..just little "bumps" on his forehead, cheeks, nose and sometimes chin..
He doesn't use anything consistantly......And his "bumps" don't seem to bother his "mojo". LOL

I just wish he'd scrub his face every day.. LOL

Proactive has a massive advertising campaign but it has no secret ingredients that make it any better than any over the counter store brand..

Step 1: Renewing Cleanser
Active Ingredient: benzoyl peroxide 2.5%.
Inactive Ingredients: water (aqua), magnesium aluminum silicate, glyceryl stearate, PEG-100 stearate, disodium dimethicone copolyol sulfosuccinate, sorbitol, dimethyl isosorbide, polyethylene, tridecyl stearate, neopentyl glycol dicaprylate/dicaprate, tridecyl trimellitate, cetyl esters, anthemis nobilis flower extract, sodium hyaluronate, sodium PCA, propylene glycol, xanthan gum, imidazolidinyl urea, methylparaben, propylparaben, fragrance (parfum).

Step 2: Revitalizing Toner
Ingredients: water (aqua), glycolic acid, hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) extract, anthemis nobilis flower extract, rosa canina fruit extract, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, sodium PCA, panthenol, glycerin, propylene glycol, allantoin, polysorbate-20, hydroxyethylcellulose, sodium hydroxide, benzophenone-4, tetrasodium EDTA, methylparaben, propylparaben, imidazolidinyl urea, fragrance (parfum), blue 1, yellow 5.

Step 3: Repairing Lotion
Active Ingredient: benzoyl peroxide 2.5%.
Inactive Ingredients: water (aqua), cyclomethicone, ethoxydiglycol, propylene glycol, glyceryl stearate, PEG-100 stearate, cetearyl alcohol, dimethicone, panthenol, allantoin, carbomer, ceteareth-20, xanthan gum, triethanolamine, diazolidinyl urea, methylparaben, propylparaben, fragrance (parfum).

Any acne cleanser with 2.5% peroxide and a bottle of witch hazel would do the same.

A lot of acne treatments use Salicylic Acid in place of the peroxide. Clean and Clear products are pretty good.
