I've tried switching to other types of pillows, but I always come back to my solid foam pillows. Not memory foam, just one solid piece of some "other" foam. Can't stand fiberfill, chunks of foam, bolsters or feathers. I don't know why, other than it's the kind I've slept with since I was a kid.

I love the memory foam mattresses (Oregon has medium humidity all of the year, almost) and I did try the pillow....did not like it at all. They are very heavy to lift up...that is really a relative thing, but when you pick them up, you know you do not have a usual pillow. the one I have is also contoured...just did not fit and seemed 'immovable' while trying to get comfy. You can return them to Costco, so if you do try one, be sure you can return it. Mine sits behind the bedroom door (another door stop)...one day I will take the butcher knife (elec.) to it and try to fix it. hehe.

I can't find a pillow that I like! I have enough pillows to supply a village because I keep buying them, hoping for that perfect pillow. Haven't found it yet. Have ordered a memory foam one...I hope it is good.

Let us know Wanda how you like yours. My pillows are so bad I would be embarrassed for anyone to see them! :)

Pillows are such a personal choice. I've used 100% down pillows made by Northern Nights for a long, long time. I replace them about every 5 yrs. Yes, they're expensive, but I like them so will keep on buying when needed.

The best pillow I have ever used is my latex pillow. I got it at Sleepy's a few years ago. I think it was $75 but worth every penny. I LOVE it.

I had a memory foam pillow and I hated it. I bought it back. I'm looking for a couple of new pillows also. Let me know what you find.

I love my eider down pillows. They were given to me on my wedding day - Jan. 1, 1969, and I just keep having them cleaned and using them. I've tried others, but they just don't work for me.

I love my foam body pillow, which I keep at my side and elevate my legs on, but no foam pillows I have ever tried were comfortable. I have 3" memory foam on my bed, and love it.

Last one I bought was at Walmart. Just got the med ones for side sleepers. When they get too bad I just replace them. Not very expensive. You might check Target or Kmart, but Walmart's seem to work better for me.

I have been fighting with pillows for ever it seems till a few months ago when my husband talked me into buying this one at bed bath and beyond, I figured I would be returning because I hated it. For the first time I slept the entire night through with out having a fighting match with my pillow and it has been consistent since then. I am really surprised. I got special zip on covers for it.

I've never really found that "purrrfect" pillow so I try to compensate with numerous pillows... Yeah, I'm flopping around contorting four, five or six full sized fluffies. Arranging, rearranging, flipping, punching, fluffing and squishing the poor things. Under my head, in my arms and between my thighs... Rule #1, my legs CAN NOT TOUCH!!

I need a platoon of pillows to achieve any comfort. :(

I'm with you all. I have the sissy-est (is that a word?)head in the world. Eyes are very sensitive to light. Head and neck very sensitive also. If I nap on a crappy pillow, and don't have it 'just so' I have a headache and neckache the rest of the day.

Love my body pillow for legs and arm, but I am constantly moving, fluffing, turning, changing pillows all night. And still wake up with a headache, honestly every single morning.

I need SOFT, but supportive. If someone finds this dream, that isn't feathers, since I'm freakin' allergic to everything, please let me know.

I like somewhat firm. I am a side sleeper mostly, and get one that is supposed to be for side sleeper.

Had a chance to sleep on memory foam. Way to hot for me. I would therefor, not get a memory foam pillow.

No matter what, I fluff my pillow every morning, to keep it from getting all flat in the place I slept in.

If I'm sleeping on my side I want a thick pillow or multiple or folded in half or a combination. On my back, very thin. So I have to have multiple pillows.

I usually buy pillows by Orbus - and since I am a side sleeper I get pillows made for side sleepers. They also have them for people who sleep on their backs or stomachs.

I see no one has mentioned my fave - a buckwheat pillow! I've had mine for years (yes, I should probably get a new one); it's the only pillow I use. I like that I can mold it to the position I prefer at the moment. The "mold" is not firm, but it holds together in the middle to do the job.

A new memory foam mattress purchased a couple of years ago came with a contoured memory foam pillow as a "gift". Tried the pillow a few nights and happily returned to the buckwheat.

My sister bought a buckwheat at the same time I did but found it "too hard" against her ear.

So, as with all the other pillows mentioned, some like the buckwheat and some don't.

A $10 fiber fill, Ralph Lauren pillow form Marshall's or Home Goods works well for me. It's not too thick, soft and pliable, washable and cheap enough to replace every year.

Just buy somewhere that lets you return...not Amazon as I've heard they do not take pillow returns (may or may not be true). I just tried a Sam's Club pillow that had chunks of memory foam and gel and it was too flat. Ended up just buying an extra firm regular old pillow by Serta for $8, it's perfect for me. I figure I'll just buy a new one in a couple years when this goes flat. Just a suggestion, if any of you buy a regular type stuffing pillow, fluff it up each morning. When we bought our two pillows, they were perfect (about 7 years ago). My husband fluffs his each morning, I DID NOT. His pillow is still like the day he bought his, mine was all flat and lumpy. I'm a believer in fluffing your pillow daily now. Not that $8 is a big lot of money but hey in this day and age, why waste it!

My current is one from Sleep Number. It is the Lyocell down. I really like it. I can fluff it up and my head sinks nicely. I dont like my head "propped" up

Sleep number does have a return policy - I think 30 days, but you only get store credit, not your money back. But they have quite a few to choose from.
NOT cheap. I think we paid close to $300 for 2 pillows.
But I really do love the bed!

I bought myself a Chiropillow, a water pillow. You fill the bladder with however much water you need. I used about 4 liters, as I am a side sleeper. You'd use less if you sleep on your back and less still if you sleep on your stomach. It's very comfortable and I clean it out and wash it once a year (by hand, not in the machine). The bladder is covered in fibrefill and is quite soft.

I finally found a pillow I like -- at Costco! I don't recall the price, but think it was about $30 for two. (Since it was Costco I knew I could return it.) I'm a back/side sleeper. I've had it for three months.

The package says "Charisma Luxury Down Alternative Pillow Two Pack" and "Jumbo 20in X 28in". I think the secret is that it has a gusset edge, so I can 'fluff' it up to give enough support. It's machine washable, although I haven't washed mine yet. The fiberfill is Comforel(TM) Silkysoft(TM).

Hah! Now that I'm looking at the tag on the pillow I see it says it is 18" X 26" X 2" -- not exactly what the package advertised, eh? The covering is made in China, but the pillow is filled and finished in USA. Manufacturer is Hollander Home Fashions of Boca Raton, FL.

Anyway...I really like it!
