We've gotten it most of the day in East Texas. It's been a slow, steady, soaking rain. I think it's supposed to stop tonight. I appreciate it!!

I am in Central Mississippi and getting a lot of rain. Temperatures have really dropped. What is of most concern is all the tornado warnings..one is headed toward me as I write. Gotta go!

One OKC station is saying Tulsa will get over a foot of rain!

Stay safe, arosegirl! Vannie, some is nice, just not too much. I don't have to worry about flooding around our house, but the river valleys here take a beating. It's pretty flat where you live, isn't it? Last night they were predicting 12-15" in your area, glad you're not getting that!

Sorry, Rita..... A FOOT in Tulsa? That's too much, make it stop! I have a dog who refuses to go out if it's raining, you have to drag him on a leash, crud. Where's Woody when I need him!?

I can hear thunder right now.. so I think Gustav's remains are on the way!

We've had a nice steady rain most of the day today. But I don't think it's Gustav. We really needed it too.

Nothing here Flamey, but we've sure had a lovely, cool and cloudy day. Reminds me of Fall. I sure hope none of you get more rain than you've bargained for.

we got rain bands from gustav ahead of landfall, adding a few inches of rain to the 35" we go from TS Fay :-( we are sooo saturated, even our mostly sand, that the daily rains of 1-2" cause standing water & flooded yards/streets...luckily my city is not flooded but alot of cites and areas in central FL are under feet of water still. now we'll get rains from Hannah and maybe Ike & Josephine hopefully those will spread themselves out to other's. ~ liz

Well, rats! We were supposed to get lots of that rain, but ended up with very little. This morning it got dark, gloomy and rained for about 2 minutes. Sun came out, a couple of hours later, another 2 minute rain. Been that way off and on most of the day. :(

Hot and humid here. Wish we would get some rain, just got done pulling weeds and mowing out back. Then watered the garden.

We've got nothing so I'm hoping for some of Hanna's wet stuff!!

Well, it's 9:30 and it's POURING, like cats and dogs! Man, I hope it slacks up for a few minutes so the dogs will go out. It's almost bed time.

Accuweather says we'll get between 5 and 9". Great. I would have been happy with 2". lol

Well shucks. Here I've been looking for rain and I'm 75 miles from the Texas Gulf Coast and I didn't get a drop of rain. Clear Blue skys and a gentle breeze.

Flamingo is 450 miles away and she gets RAIN.

That's just not right.

Northeast Mississippi has had no rain, but other parts of the state have. Have had tornado watches and warnings in the other areas too. We got enough rain last week. I was glad for every drop!

Now we get to watch for Hanna, Ike and Josephine, and I think there is another off the coast of Africa. All this and the elections too! What a year!

I'm sorry, Gayle, you know I'd be happy to share with you and all the rain-starved Texans. Why is it always feast or famine?

Not a drop. We live near Galveston, and the only thing we got was slightly cooler temps and a little breeze. But, that's not all bad. I'll take it.

DH has family in the south east corner of Kansas. Looks like they are getting Gustav this morning. They are only about three hours from you, Flamey. That's where we were when we came to visit you!

I wish you'd come visit again, Tami! We had a lot of fun.

We've had over 2" so far with 3.5" more expected, according to accuweather this morning. It's pretty soggy out there, but I know it's nothing compared to what others have gotten and will get.

Still worried about our bridge, though. It was rain like this in March and April that caused the flooding that damaged our bridge and closed it for 5 months, making it so inconvenient for hundreds of locals. Going the long way is hard, especially when gas is high. And time, too, it uses up a lot of that!

After Gustav, Hanna's coming up the east coast. Just the thing to ruin those last days of summer.
