Thanks y'all (showin' my Texas heritage here). I can sort of paint but not enough to do details like bluebonnets and stuff. I was thinking maybe I could spray the whole thing red, then do an Americana thing and paint a flag on the bottom, seal it well and then hang it either out front or on my deck. I wish I had a covered porch. It wouldn't do well on my front door, it has a big glass oval cutout in it and doesn't do wreaths very well. OR...DH and I have been talking about getting a nice plaque with our house numbers on it because what we have now are cheesy brass numbers that don't show up well on the brick front. I was thinking about doing a mosaic one but what if painted them on the bottom of the basket and hung that on the brick?! Hmmmm, that's something to think about. Again, it would have to be sealed really really well. But hmmmm. I seem to do my best thinking when I'm typing so bear with me here. I'll let you guys know what I decide and post pics when I'm done, but keep the suggestions coming! Robin

yep, I can't believe he was just going to throw this away. But then he is the one that I got old wagon wheels from(he was gonna throw them away too). And yes it was the whole fountain, base and everything. They were my old neighbor's stuff that they lefy when they moved. This guy isn't in to garden junk, so he probably thinks I'm a bit eccentric! To each his own I say....

Ooh! So pretty! I have yet to be able to germinate them, crazy I know. Maybe next year will get them! (bought fresh seed)
