car shopping: have you ever gone w/dealer financing?

Mazda is doing a 0.0% APR for up to 60 months w/cash back.

My credit union is at 3.99% for best customers (which means a direct monthly withdrawal for the loan and having a checking acct with it; I have only a share savings account there, so even with the 0.25% decrease I'd get for direct withdrawal, my rate would be higher than 3.99%).

Due to some mechanical issues with my car, I need to fast-forward my purchase of a new one. I would be financing about a quarter of the purchase price.

If you've ever done dealer financing, can you tell me about what the potential loopholes of going in that direction would be? The only question I know to ask of the dealership is whether there's a penalty for early payoff.
