We're having spaghetti with shrimp and clam sauce, tossed salad. Glenda had me wanting egg salad sandwiches but I didn't feel like going out just to get pumpernickel bread. Love, love , love egg salad on pumpernickel. I have to be out tomorrow so will pick up the bread then. Eggs are cooked and ready to go for tomorrow.

Had a long list, for this afternoon, and went to eat where I had as little driving as possible.

Johnny Ray's BBQ for a shredded pork plate,dill pickles which I love to chop up in my pork with lots of Franks Hot Sauce, potato salad, baked beans. Texas toast which I only used for sopping the baked bean juices cause they are so dang good.

That sounds yummy Glenda...

I really don't know yet...but football gets done an hour earlier now..so I don't have a much time to kill....

I wish I could do leftover tid bits..but there was 2 meatballs from last night...there are 2 chicken breasts left..

Oh wait..I'll do chicken and broccoli stuffed shells...

I have about a cup and a half of cheese sauce...those 2 breasts, container of ricotta, brocc...mozz and cheddar...yep..that'll do..

Today was my big grocery shopping day. I've put away the spoilables but the rest will wait till I have time/energy to put dates on them, etc.

So my meal tonight was deli roast beef on ww bread with tomato and lettuce. I also had some no salt added potato chips and a glass of milk. Hit the spot without much energy needed to make it.

Glenda, it's all good--at least it sure sounds like it. I keep searching for a good BBQ place around here. No luck so far, but I have a lead in a town no far south of here.

Terri--glad we could be of service :-) Two chicken breasts will go a long way when you add other things. It's amazing! And your dinner sounds amazing, too.

Shirley, I only did part of our grocery shopping this evening. At that it was 6 bags. I just hate carrying them in and putting them away. I love deli roast beef. I bought some but Harry hasn't eaten any yet. Guess I'd better freeze it.

DS told me he was in a bbq charity cookoff this past weekend.

Glenda, I didn't know you live in Birmingham. I lived there for a few years and really loved it.

Sitting here trying to think of what to fix. I think it will be sautéed pork chops, eggs (don't know if they will be scrambled or fried), hasbrowns, and biscuits.

Where did you live, walnutcreek? I'm grew up in Gadsden, but lived most my adult life in B'ham.

Been a busy day....ate late lunch of the best Eggs Benedict in the world at a small restaurant in town, so a late supper.

Supper was left over cold turkey and steamed corn on the cob. Then, my homemade banana nut cake with sour cream icing.

I lived in both Homewood and Hoover.

Walnutcreek, I'm a big fan of breakfast for dinner. Haven't tried it with pork chops though....yet!

Monica, your lunch sounds wonderful and dinner sounds even better. If you hear the doorbell, better not answer it. It's a bunch of KT'ers looking for a piece of that banana nut cake with sour cream icing.

Patti: How do you freeze the roast beef, in one pkg, by individual slices?? Then do you have to thaw it a certain way for it to be okay in sandwiches??

I got it out of my 45 year old Betty Crocker cookbook....web link to the recipe is below. Same recipe my mother used.

I make it in 2 8" round cake pans but it is also good as a sheet cake.

As to the icing...I take a pint of cream cheese and beat the heck out of it with the mixer, until fluffy - then add a glug of high quality vanilla extract(I use one made with bourbon) and start adding powdered sugar until it feels right for spreading.

did angel pasta and sweet Italian sausage. we use the heart smart sauce...since the afternoon I've gotten sicker..lousy cold from one of the kidlets, I guess...made enough for lunch Saturday...we go out Friday...probably will do breakfast tomorrow...
