I made pasta with some of my homemade sauce along with breaded chicken cutlet. It was delicious.

While I was making a mess doing the breading, I figured I'd go ahead and make my meatballs in soy/ketchup sauce for tomorrow's dinner.

Dinner for lunch today. Every Labor Day Sunday we meet friends and go to a nearby village for the fire departments fundraising dinner. Ham, potaoes, gravy, corn, coleslaw and pie. We go to 2 or 3 of these a year. It's something different and always for a good cause.

Kat, do you have an extra piece of pie? I doubt it, but thought I'd ask anyway. Enjoy!

Pam, do the firemen do the cooking? I see out EMT's in the grocery every once in a while shopping for dinner. Sure is a worthy cause!

I made the rice salad into a main dish salad by adding shrimp and tuna. I brought it to my friend and her daughter and SIL for lunch today. They liked it...he had seconds so either he was telling the truth or was very hungry. I thought it was okay, nothing exceptional but I'm rather critical.

Patti, I forgot to say have a great time with Katy. I think firemen and their families do the cooking, serving and cleaning up. Many fire depts have a ball field with a building that contains a kitchen and a large room for dinners, etc.

Bought a grilled pork chop from the market deli and then made fried green tomatoes. For dessert, some tapioca pudding. The pork chop was really thick and a little tough but had a good flavor. Don't think I'll buy them again tho.
