Stuffed zucchini for hubby. Never made it before. Same ingredients I use for stuffed peppers, so he should be happy. And I'll be glad to get these things off my counter!

I have a pot of boiled potatoes, so I looked up recipes & found one that makes a sort of pie using the potatoes as a crust, filled with sausage and eggs topped with cheese.

Pancakes sound good, so do temps in the teens (it is SO hot here in Texas right now).

Leftovers from lunch, chicken/stuffing ball-like thing, green beans, and fried okra.

Nicole when I have lots of mashed potatoes, I like making a shepherd's pie. Your sausage pie sounds good though.

15C tomorrow which is 59. Definitely cool. I saw some video of the California drought on the news and people without water! I know that Texas and California are both baking in the heat. Dreadful.

It's so unfair for some of us to be getting an over abundance of moisture, while others don't even get enough to dampen them.

I had a stuffed pepper and a slice of whole wheat bread.

We Californians aren't baking in any heat, jasdip, it's just that water supplies are low.

It rarely rains from April to October, so whatever has been accumulated by late March is all there is until the next fall. Most (though not all) of California's water comes from mountain snow melt, both locally in the Sierras and what comes to the southern part of the state from the Rockies. There have been several winters of sub-par precipitation so supplies are low.

I'm icing my backâ¦think I'll take a page from O.F.'s book and have something sinful like a root beer float. DH can make himself a BLT.

Oh, to say those beautiful words here: "A cold front and rains are coming in". Sighing enviously... Speak for yourself, Snidely, it's hot as H here and has been for days. The humidity is what's making me feel sicker than dry heat does although I hate both, PASSIONATELY.

I have a slab of St Louis style ribs cooking and some tiny fresh red potatoes boiling in Old Bay seasoning.

Definitely hot and we have been in a drought condition for a while, areas of the states that are more desert are certainly hot. I try to stay in as much as possible. With such large states you can run the full spectrum of weather depending on area you select.

My favorite temp in the desert SW was 112ð. Above that started to get hot. The only disadvantage ...... no beach! Never breakfast food after 6am. A longer Happy Hour today since leftover chicken turned into simple Chop Suey. And no Chopsticks..The tooth extraction hole is finally becoming less annoying. (That "Root Beer Float" is better without the "Roots".)

Jasdip.....potatoes were diced with skins on them. it will be out of the oven in 10 minutes and I can see if it's worth making again.....

I made potato soup smothered with cheese last night....

Hot dogs, baked beans and potato salad.

More than 2 inches of rain since yesterday morning 7 a.m. Warm and humid. The only time there is a breeze is just before a new batch of rain comes through.

High on Thursday is predicted to be in the mid-60s (18 Celsius) and the low into Friday morning should be 42 (5 Celsius).

For tonight, I made a chicken-vegetable-orzo soup. Unsalted almonds for dessert (ya hear that doc?).

Let me know if you liked it Nicole. I usually just fry boiled potatoes, from a lack of wondering what to do with them.

Oh Raven, my mouth is watering. Ribs are a treat. There's not a whole heck of a lot of eating on them, so we enjoy them when I do make them.

GM I hope your back gets better! A root beer float sounds good, as does your hubby's BLT.

It's nice enough to sit out on the patio to eat tonight. We grilled some nice chops , slathered with apricot sauce towards the end. Made some zucchini/apple patties, steamed the last of the green beans.

Robert is putting a new prop on the boat and we'll eat in a few minutes. I might have a glass of wine tonight! It's just 7:00 our time.

I'm waiting for Nicole's recipe and her review. Also, have in mind to boil a couple of red potatoes with Old Bay seasoning, like Raven's making tonight. I get so many ideas on these threads.

We woke up to a light rain this morning. It's got a nip in the air and got up to 62 degrees.

We liked it! :0) Very hearty and I put hot sauce over mine.

3 lbs potatoes, diced(small) & boiled, skins on
1 lb bulk breakfast sausage
1 cup diced raw onion
6 eggs
1 Tbl flour
1/2 lb grated cheddar cheese
Seasoning salt & pepper to taste

Fry the sausage, drain any grease off & add onions in a skillet until fully cooked. Press the potatoes into a 13 x 9 casserole dish. Spoon the sausage mixture over the potatoes. In a large mixing bowl whisk eggs, flour, salt & pepper. Pour over casserole, distribute the grated cheese over the top. Cover with foil. Bake 1 hour @ 400 degrees.

I had planned a top of the stove chili, just in case...(gas burners I could have lit if the power went out) but it didn't and was still good!

We're heading into cold weather here too... I made vegetable soup and it really hit the spot!

Supposed to get to below freezing here tonight. What a difference 3 days makes! It was in the mid-eighties on Monday! Hubby loved this new dish!
