What's for dinner 9/8/10

I had big plans of treating Harry to a great peach pie. I got the crust made, but that's as far as I got today. He'll have a treat tomorrow :-) Tonight we're having new stuff for dinner: nodakgal's honey mustard chicken and sesame noodles (recipe compliments of Pioneer Woman). I guess we'll have broccoli with it, since I need to use up the last of it. No dessert :-( but I had good intentions.

Jubilee Joe's dinner for lunch per usual

Small cup of chicken sausage gumbo, no rice

after that was finished

small cup of cajun crab bisque

Went grocery shoppung today.
Filet Mignon, steamed corn and green beans.

Thanks Greg/Alex!(-: jos- Korean waggies are said to be like the true Japanese Waggies, very stout with very tight formation-we'll see. Ken- here's picture of the Abyssinian when I planted it 6-6-09 In Aug-(30th) of 09 9-7-10 -it get's lifted and put in the basement,stored like a Canna,EE-hopefully to fight another year! Frank the Tank! The Castors have been flowering for a few months,I think yours should have time to seed but it's not hard to get seeds. houstonpat- I bought mine from a seller on e-bay,they are wicked expensive! There is one for sale(presumably Princeps)at a great price but check out the shipping. If you are serious about getting one,I can send you the e-mail of the guy I went through(-: Looking good Mike-you da man! I just ordered a bunch more Takil,that I will hold on to!- also some Geminisectus and Oreophilus(-: What can I say? The bug bites hard!

I had a big meal at noon after church. It was our church's first Sunday of the month meal and there was so much food. On my plate there was a really good meat loaf, barbecued pork ribs, fried zucchini or cucumbers with a cheese coating, (couldn't tell what it was, but was good), green beans with potatoes, corn casserole, broccoli casserole,stuffing, coleslaw and a deviled egg. My dessert was a nice slice of sugar cream pie. I topped that meal off with 3 glasses of unsweetened iced tea. There was so much more I could have chosen but I was so full from all I did get that there will be no supper for me tonight. My bean salad I took was a hit and I have to take the recipe back to one lady. No raspberry pie or peach pie to bring home either. Sue

I had chocolate covered peanuts and a coke. This afternoon I got a perm. which puts the ache back into my shoulders that PT is trying to help. Then I went to WalMart for a few things and they have moved everything around so I had to walk and walk just to find what I wanted. I asked one of the clerks where the laundry detergent was and she told me. It was all the way into another section. I told her they need to hand out maps. She said it wouldn't help because nothing would probably be in the same place very long! All that walking added to my aches and I was tired. So back to dinner: I had a craving for chocolate covered peanuts. All they had was Great Value. Not very good. Sue

patti43-What is brown sugar meat loaf? DS was saying tonight that meatloaf sounded good.Every one's menu sounds delish! Peach pie and bread pudding.MMMMM We had some hamburger patties left from a couple of days ago.DS was going to cook them on the grill but we didn't have any buns OR bread so I smashed them up to make them a little smaller and thicker and fried them in a skillet on the stove.Opened a couple of cans of green beans.All I had was one can of French style and one can of cut so I just mixed them.Then I seasoned them with salt,pepper and garlic powder.Took the lid off the garlic powder to sprinkle some in and dumped about a tablespoon into the beans! I had bought a different brand than what I usually use and this one had the flip top instead of the screw on one covering the little holes.I rinsed them off as best I could but they were still pretty garlicky.Didn't have any potatoes or rice but had a package of fettuccine noodles and a jar of Alfredo sauce so I made that as a side dish.It was pretty good and nobody complained.You can probably tell tomorrow is grocery shopping day!LOL

Lunch today was Steak and Shake's butter hamburger and fries. I guess I will eat some leftover T-bone steak and sweet potatoes for my supper.

DH's cooking tonight so it'll be spaghetti with his homemade meat sauce, a mixed green salad, and toasted garlic bread.

Was late getting home from getting my perm, so our supper was last night's leftover roast which we made into sandwiches.

I ate out...chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, cream gravy, fried mushrooms, corn on the cob, crowder peas, strawberry and pecan pralines and cream ice cream and iced tea. I had a stressful morning and a very leisurely late lunch.
