Don't care for reality shows

Like football, but don't care for basketball/baseball

like Food Network--sometimes. love Alton Brown

Like Antique Roadshow and even have the Big Fish game and still looking for that "find" at a garage sale so I can really retire

Like some sitcoms, not others

Like Wheel of Fortune but not Jeopardy

Like "The good wife" and the Law and order shows.
Dislike all sitcoms except "Two 1/2 Men"...and may change my mind on that once I see this years changes.
Like Paula Dean....dislike Rachel Ray.
Dislike all "reality" shows, and like all CNBC shows.
Like the "Today" show, dislike GMA.

Like Letterman, dislike Leno.

Like college football - Dislike pro football

Watched a marathon of one of the "Housewives" reality shows and was mesmerized but forget we have Bravo

Really like Jeopardy but don't care for Wheel of Fortune

Love HGTV, CNN, MSNBC and C-SPAN

Like GMA and Today

Like The View and can't wait to see The Chew

Like All My Children and One Life to Live but both are being cancelled

Like about everything on Food Network

I like Letterman, too, but I'm rarely awake for it

I really listen to TV more than watch it.

In this economy I think many folks will be staying home more and will look to ways to save on food. Vegetable plantings is a great way to go. I learned many of my techniques simply watching shows like Gardening Naturally (thanks for helping me recall the name of that show Marg). In that show I learned more about proper composting, the use of manure, seaweed of all things, and other stuff. Sure it certainly may not appeal to all audience, but it was very imformative. Too bad we no longer have such shows. The new Victory Garden - well it's simply rehashed segments with a new host - Jamie Durie, a well known garden designer/landscaper from Australia. The show focuses mainly on designing on a grand scale - although it does emphasis green techniques, water conservation, etc.. It does have a small segment with Kip as the actual gardener and Chef Michel cooking the organic way. However it just doesn't have that 'Organic feel' to it. It seemed too Hollywood or too New Age. In my opinion -- good eye candy, not much on substance. There is good show on PBS - called Cultivating Life. While it is short, it does have everything, from building trellis, to planting, to cooking. It's good enough - although not close enough to the shows of the past. I've pretty much given up on watching shows on TV. There's hope however, and it exist online. I'm sure he must have been the one that wanted to paint a newly installed hardwood floor in black and white squares, although the owners specifically told their neighbors not to do anything to the new floor. The designer walked off in a huff and told them to just do it themselves,then. thankfully, they were strong enough to stand up to him. Of course, if you have to live next door to the people, you don't want to alienate them forever. that was about the time I told Ashley I'd prefer to have all my fingernails pulled out and a root canal without anesthesia than ever watch that show again. I've been to The View 3 times, Rachel Ray twice, Regis and Kelly twice and Letterman once. When DD was attending college in NYC she went to John Stewart, How to be a Millionaire, Conan and Letterman. If you go to Letterman take a sweater because he keeps the studio notoriously cold. My question was easy 'What college did Dave attend?' answer - Ball State in Indiana. When they send you tickets some of the shows will state in the letter that it isn't a 100% guarantee that you'll be admitted. The letter will tell you what time you should arrive and then you still stand in line outside the theater until they'll ready to take you in. We always arrived well before the stated time because if they have last minute VIP guests then the people at the end of the line get bumped. Some of the shows tape 2 shows on the same day. The View did this regularly, usually on Thursday because Fridays shows were always taped. Most of the shows allowed us to request up to 4 tickets. I used to get last minute e mail invitations for The View fairly regularly. They had a separate section on their request form for residents of NY, NJ and CT. It seems like they would send these invites to people who lived nearby and who could easily fill in empty seats in the audience on short notice. It's probably been almost 2 years since I've gone to a show.

Love all kinds of football-college and pro. Hate all kinds of basketball (but will watch college from sweet sixteen on).

Love Dexter, Breaking Bad, Modern family, the Office, Antiques roadshow, and lots of reality shows with Survivor being by favorite. Also like Amazing Race and of course some the Housewives.

Dislike all sitcoms, all sports except horse racing.
Like most cooking shows, Big Brother, Survivor, Young and The Restless, Dancing With The Stars, 20/20, 60 Minutes, local news and weather. I like a lot of the British shows too, but can't find many on television anymore.

LOVE: Castle!! He's just gorgeous!!

Like: NCIS LA and original NCIS; Criminal Minds, Mentalist, really like In Plain Sight but it's a summer show, so over now.
Big Bang Theory, Mike and Molly, Golf.

HATE: Reality shows of any kind, The Simpsons, Family Guy....those cartoons. Hate So You Think You Can Dance, and the Idol shows.

Dislike: Food competitions on the Food Network. Wish there were more shows about chefs and cooking.

I used to watch a lot of HGTV shows, but haven't for a while now.....not enough about gardening.

I really don't watch much TV, I guess....rather read a book.

If anyone reads this, a show called Mildred Pierce won a lot of awards the other nite. It looks like it has a large well-known cast, and is on HBO. Hubby thought it looked really good, has anyone watched it?

Like- The Closer, Glee, NCIS, Burn Notice, True Blood, Bones, Survivor, The Amazing Race, Rizzoli and Isles, Dead Like Me, Hawaii 5-0 (for the scenery and one actor) In Plain Sight, Band of Brothers, football, etc, and more I can't think of.

Dislike- Food shows, trainwreck TV like toddler tiara stuff, hoarders, lol, baseball, basketball, and probably a lot more that I don't know about because I've never watched any of it. Only so many hours in a day for TV, ya know!

FoodNetwork (particularly Alton Brown & DD&D), The Cooking channel, HGTV's House Hunters
PBS - most mystery shows or series

Dislike: Reality shows

Don't watch: Daytime programing except in the case of bad weather when I tune to local channels. Or Late night talk shows because I'm generally asleep or reading.

Will watch on occassion: Baseball, Soccer

Big Bang Theory, Deadliest Catch, Supernatural, the BK (Before Kutch) 2 1/2 Men, South Park, Family Guy, Simpsons, Cleveland, etc
Most classic sitcoms like Green Acres, Married w/Children, Beverly Hillbillies, etc.
Gordon Ramsay shows - Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares and MasterChef (but would like it more if they got rid of "Joe")
Criminal Minds, Diners, Drive-ins & Dives, Alton Brown, 2 Fat Ladies, Lidia's Family Table but not her newer shows. CI shows (America's Test Kitchen, Cook's Country, etc) New Scandinavian Cooking New Yankee Workshop, Hometime and many of the basic home improvement shows that aren't trying to be "reality show" contenders.
Shows like Automobiles, Modern Marvels, Ask This Old House, History Detectives, Many (but not all) Britcoms.
Documentaries about shipwrecks (Titanic, Lusitania, Andrea Doria, Fitzgerald, etc). Good documentaries on history that aren't trying to push an agenda.
Some football, Australian Rules Football, some soccer.
Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O'Brien and David Letterman is OK too (but Paul Schaeffer isn't)
There's more, but that's enough for now.

Dislike:
Leno & Fallon. Most "reality" shows, any showoff shows like any of the dancing shows, American Idol, etc. Most all game shows these days.

Can't stand:
Martha Stewart, Paula Deen, Neelys, golf, tennis, Duggars, Octo and other exploiters. Most all of the "talk" (over each other) shows.

Like: Closer, Rizzoli and Isles, Covert Affairs, Hawaii 5-0, the NCIS shows, Criminal Minds, Bones, Necessary Roughness... the talent type shows like America's Got Talent, The Voice, So you think you can Dance. Like Millionaire, Jeopardy, Family Feud.

Try not to miss: Today Show, Hoda and Kathy Lee, Ellen...and Judge Judy!

Dislike most of the reality shows like Housewives, Jersey Shores, what HGTV has become and what Food Network seems to be becoming as well, American Idol. It makes me sad because I used to love HGTV, Food and Idol. Really, really dislike Dr. Phil and that type of show.

Got antenna tv. No recorder. Only shows I watch are two and a half men, king of queens, maude and all in the family.

Haven't seen anything new that I would watch regular.

The View, Secrets of a Restaurant Chef (Anne Burrell is my favorite chef) Barefoot Contessa, Cash Cab, Jeopardy, Golf, Drop Dead Diva, Harry's Law Dancing With the Stars, The Apprentice, Good Morning America, The Today Show, particularly Hoda and Kathy Lee, CBS Sunday Morning, AMC, Judge Judy and many more.

I have not had television in over a month. I would watch anything at this point LOL. Please, please let the cable guy show up tonight (actually I miss internet way more than television). Mad Men is my only must-see show and that's been on hiatus forever. Otherwise I just like to flip around and see if anything catches my eye.

Looks like most of you have cable or satellite. I just have antenna and then it isn't the greatest since they changed things. I seldom watch television during the day, maybe an hour and a half.
