Very seasonal temps......high of 20C (68). Love it.

I have my chicken breast in the oven with butter, dijon, worcestershire and breading; along with oven roasted potatoes and carrots. I threw some broccoli in there for good measure.

Saving up for monthly potluck luncheon, tomrrow.

I have that recipe, Jasdip--I call it "Jasdip's Chicken Breasts". LOL! They sure turn out nice and tender and tasty.

I have not decided yet it will either be left over pulled pork sandwiches from yesterday or grilled rib eye steaks and baked potatoes.

My tribute to potluck luncheon is turnip green and cornbread casserole. And per my request, friend is bringing her blackberry wine cake, that is to die for!

Shared the recipe for the cake at the recipe thread, today.

Big bacon lettuce and tomato sandwiches this evening. The tomatoes were fresh from the garden. Also had applesauce. The weather has been great here today.

That soup sounds stupendous. Again I read down through the threads and get hungry all over again. I had Texas beans, a hot dog, plus a dinner roll w/raspberry jam (not homemade).

Let me tell you. I was all excited about this Ham and Scalloped Potato benefit dinner the fire department of a small town, about 20min. away, was advertising. I told Mom the ad said serving begins at 4pm. Well, we drove all the way over there and here I hadn't remembered the time correctly. The townspeople we stopped to ask said they didn't know anything about a 4pm. dinner, but "their fire house had a cook out today from 11am - 1pm.It's over now."

So we drove all the way back home but continued on into the city to eat at The Red Lobster. Well...I had never eaten at a Red Lobster before and altho the place was very busy and a line waiting for tables, I was not impressed. Too many breaded and fried things. ugh. Both of us could only eat half of our very expensive meals. Not my usual fare and I doubt I'll eat there again. Came home and took a swig of Pepto Bismol! And I've been so thirsty ever since I got home.

Raven, I second what Glenda said. Hard to beat a steak and baked potato.

Glenda, the cake recipe sounds really good, but your greens and cornbread sound even better. You will surely have a feast tomorrow.

Sue, yum! I don't think I've ever met anyone who doesn't like bacon--unless it's for religious reasons. How much canning do you think you have left to do? Glad the weather is nice and a lot more pleasant to be outside.

Shirley, the dinner thread does that to me, too. I'm sure not hungry but a roll with jam sure sounds pretty good.

Aw, Schoolhouse, I'm sorry about the mix-up. After expecting ham and scalloped potatoes, I'm sure Red Lobster was a let down. I do love their biscuits, though. LOL about the Pepto-Bismol. I know the feeling. We don't eat out very often anymore because everything is over-salted to our taste.

Well he had a grilled steak and some beans and I had the bbq pulled pork.

Patti if we don't have an early frost, I probably have a lot of canning left to do.
