Not a huge ketchup person either. I like it on hamburgers and hot dogs. I occasionally make up Russian Dressing--ketchup, mayo and sweet relish. Don't ever put Ketchup on or near my French Fries!

I generally throw out more ketchup in the bottle (when it's months past the expiration date) than I've used.

Now horseradish.... That's another story--I use that on a LOT of things.

Fried potatoes, french fries, tater tots, scrambled eggs with peppers and onions, and of course hot dogs and hamburgers. I don't care for steak sauce so if and when I have any steak, which is seldom, I like ketchup on it. I like it in a lot of my food, barbecue, sloppy joes, meat loaf and baked beans to name a few.

I'm not a ketchup person either. At least I don't eat much of it. Don't need it for burgers, or fries, sometimes I will put it on my meatloaf, more often not.
DH now, consumes it by the gallon I swear! LOL Kids too.

Definitely on french fries and on eggs (to hide the taste,I hate eggs.)Other than that, I don't use a lot of ketchup. I throw out the bottle when I clean out my fridge, about twice a year.

I only have it on burgers, and since I rarely make them at home I have an ancient bottle of ketchup in the fridge. (By the way, anyone spell it "catsup?" What a strange looking word). On the other hand, I love mustard, the hotter the better.

French fries.

If I have a hot dog on a bun I can't stand ketchup on it but if I have it on a plate without a bun I like to dip into ketchup. Same with Polish sausage and linguicia.

Burger on a bun....no ketchup but on a plate I like to mix ketchup and steak sauce together.

Ketchup with meatloaf if it not in gravy.

Those are the only foods I eat ketchup with. Oh and liver. I love liver with a bit of ketchup.

I am a dipper. I cannot stand anything with ketchup poured on top. Don't even care for ketchup topped meatloaf though I'll eat it.

Isn't that the red stuff in a bottle, that lives in most peoples fridge???? LOL

Not in mine. Haven't owned a bottle since the girls (now 35 and 37) moved out.

Only once in a while on french fries or hamburger. On eggs? Gross-never understood that. I might put shredded cheese on scrambled eggs and I love omlettes, but ketchup? Nope!

Funny story my DH HATES ketchup. And I mean hates with a passion. It is nearly a phobia to him he hates it so much. Can't stand to touch it or smell it anything!

I'll put it on french fries and a hamburger when I have them which is not very often..

I rarely use catsup - just don't like the taste.

No ketchup for french fries, but a side of mayonnaise to dip the fries in is a treat for us!

I love cold meatloaf sandwiches, and they have to be on squishy white bread spread with ketchup. I eat ketchup on hamburgers and hot dogs.

Ketchup on burgers, on hot dogs (frequently if I'm eating 2 small ones, one will have ketchup, the other mustard).

After many years of working in the restaurant business, I can't stand the smell of ketchup. I don't keep it in my house now that the kids are gone. The only thing I have it with and that's rarely is with a grill cheese sandwich. I dip my fries in mayo.

I'm not much on Catsup, either. Maybe a little to dip french fries in, on the rare times I have them.
A funny, true story....
I worked at a Country Kitchen restaurant, years ago. Several Highway Patrol officers would stop for lunch. One of our smart-pants waitresses offered one, catsup to go with his meal, and he said no, he hated catsup and couldn't even stand the smell of it. So she took the bottle and made a pass like she was going to put the stuff on him.......except the cap was loose and she squirted the red stuff all down his uniform. I told her, she better mind the speed limit in our area from now on, because he was going to be watching for her. LOL

Sometimes on fries, with salt. I like it on burgers and dogs too. NEVER on eggs or in mac and cheese or to dip a grilled cheese in. Way too sweet for that!

I prefer my meatloaf with gravy. And I can only eat breakfast sausages cooked until they are almost jerky and covered in ketchup. Mushy sausage links with flabby skin make me retch! I prefer not to eat them at all, thanks.

We like our ketchup tangy and a bit salty, and yes, American ketchup does taste different than the same brand in Canada!

i recently bought Sir Kensington's spicy gourmet scooping ketchup from williams sonoma. it is wonderful and i'm not a ketchup person except occasionally fries. it's not cheap but it's wonderful. i'm going to try it on a hamburger simply it was used in a recipe for one of the best burgers in the US.

Sue, I'd forgotten about ketchup on scrambled eggs. So good! I use ketchup mostly like you do. Meatloaf, sloppy Joes, etc. I do like to dip a French fry or two in it, but not every one. I also like to mix it with lots of horseradish for shrimp cocktail. Have to stock up when DGS comes, because he devours the stuff.

I only use ketchup for two things. I use it as a base for bbq sauce, and every now and then I use it with fries. I prefer fries with gravy, but I usually just eat fries plain. I'm not a big ketchup fan.

Not sure if it's available in the States or not, but we've just discovered a "new" kind of ketchup.. Red Thai Ketchup made by Heinz, in the old style glass bottle, and it's yummmm! Spicy, as in horseradish or chili spicy, but ketchupy too! For those Canadians that shop No Frills, or Zehrs, and have tried PC Fiery Thai sauce, this is similar in heat, but combined with ketchup. English hubby isn't a fan of "red sauce" on much but the Thai ketchup has been a big hit with him. Me? I've been known to have ketchup on many things already mentioned, but fries/chips need mayo ;) lol..and liver?? Uhm.. no..ta muchly thanks!

I only use it to enhance pork'n'beans. I add chopped onion and bell peppers a little brown sugar and some ketchup. Then I bake them.

Love to dip my fries in ketchup. Also like ketchup on fried potatoes or hash browns, meatloaf and burgers... never on a hot dog or eggs (although I did eat them that way as a child).

My husband is the ketchup king, I'd be willing to put him up before ANYONE. He puts ketchup on everything. Until we got married I did not know that you could go through 3 to 4 bottles a week, and even more when my children were teenagers... He puts it on his vegetables, eggs, any kind of meat, seafood, sandwiches, potatoes, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, pasta, you name it. I ask him when we were first married how he came to eating so much ketchup, he said his father loved it, and he got to love it. Come to find out his father's family were vegetable growers and tomatoes being their #1 crop and they canned lots and lots of tomatoes, ketchup, etc...yes, you got it so they used ketchup on everything. My husband passed this down to our children and now I see my grandchildren minus one with the same trait...so funny! I hate the stuff myself..I am a mustard person myself, but not excessively. My opinion is that my family has never tasted real food before but I love them and who am I to change them? Live and let live. I guess...they're not committing a crime...but I do wish we had gotten stock in Hunt's..no, we could not afford the more expensive Heinz, they way we go through ketchup. I have even bought the store brand before (shame, shame, huh?).

I love, love, love ketchup!!! I don't use it often but with fries...it's magical...put in my meatloaf...delicious.

Like it on hotdogs, hamburgers and big fat fries. I like to take those little containers with ketchup and put lots of pepper on top and then dip my fries in there. I wrote to heinz a couple of years ago and told them I wanted pepper ketchup but they never responded to me. lol

Oooh, and I forgot to mention...

Take your ketchup and add a drop or two of liquid smoke, and a couple of shakes of hot sauce or a bit of that chili garlic sauce stuff (or harissa, or whatever hot stuff you like to use). Spicy, smokey, yum!

I just don't care for it ON food. Definitely do not enjoy ketchup as a meatloaf topping, no no on hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, for ME.

Would put it on meatloaf but I now make meatloaf with ground turkey and make a red wine currant sauce to go with it.
