Went grocery shopping and few other errands. Was gone three hours, came home and napped. Did a load of wash, cleaned out my pantry and now I'm resting because the bod is telling me too. Have to clean out the refrigerators and bake a cake yet today. Not making dinner. I have the roast chicken in the fridge and it's every man for himself.

georgysmom, you are wearing me out!

Oh, a cozy nap with a quilt would feel good. But DH is roasting the last of the hatch chilies so I can skin and puree them for the freezer, not canning this batch.

I wanted to work some more on the garden beds so I can get some of this stuff replanted but I'm listening to thunder and watching rain, occasional lightening. Good thing we have a deep overhang at the front of the garage for the grill, besides the chilies I have steaks marinated for later too.

couple of loads of laundry, including hand washables, dishes done, knitting meeting attended, and then drat, my car died on the way to the next event...

So, now I am at home, and my car is at the dealership... and tomorrow we are supposed to have rain, and all I got for transportation are my bikes. YIKES

LOL.... but all is well.

My air cleaner seems to handle the job of keeping the ragweed pollen at bay.

I went to church this morning. DH went to watch the game with his buddies. So, I went to my daughter's to visit my grandbaby, dropped some stuff off at work and checked my emails there, went to a house warming party, went to my dad's to clean up his place and put his pills in the box. When i got home DH had supper waiting for me. New York Strip Steak (which I won at the meat raffle last night.) Oh yeah, I also did 2 loads of laundry.

I don't want to do all this Glenda, but I have family coming Tuesday for several days, and I have a big golf tournament on Tuesday and Thursday. Company will be here Tuesday and Wednesday, leaving Thursday. Tomorrow I have to go to Richmond to look at tile. Bathroom project begins a week from Monday. Everything is happening at once and tomorrow is the only day I can go. Must get some things ready for our company. Woe is me.

this has been a good sunday...we went to our local place early for breakfast, bought the paper and back home, til it was time for Costco's...the rest of the day was very quiet...

we spied on the neighbors, lol..they're building a huge (to us) pond and have been watching the progress, for 2-3 weeks! i'm really wondering about the existing trees...they've built up and around their very large trees...I think they've reached their height (30-40 ft) but wonder if having the trunks with stuff so close to they'll continue to get needed water, ect... we'll see...sure makes our tiny fish pond look really small, lol...

Where do you all get your energy? I think I have the energy, I just really do not have anywhere to go. I think we are in triple digets again today~~I can not move when it is hot;(

yogalady, I was so drained couple days this past week, I took long naps. Then end of week I perked back up, but today just could not hit the gym.

georgysmom, is like the Ever Ready Rabbit! Just keeps on going and going and going.

Sure hope her cellulitis is better.

6:30 p.m. Sunday-just came in from taking the garden off-(went out @3)-wasn't going to-wanted to keep it at least a month longer,but Jack appeared last night at some time and worked some of his magic-So,the wheelbarrow is FULL of green tomatoes,the majority the size of tennis ball and much bigger-saved the little tags so that I get the same breed next year;also picked the equivalent of an 8 qt basket of ripe or close to ripe ones-I've already picked and canned,eaten and given away at least a bushel in the past 3 wks. And all of that from only 8 plants.(There also was at least 1/2 bushel of ripe,green,and frost bitten ones that will be tilled in)
Pulled up the cucumbers as well-a few quarts of pickles to do this week,and a 3L basket or so of some big enough for relish,but will be eaten by old Rondo,instead.
Canned up 6 quarts of the little wee potatoes for the winter,and bagged 20# so far of most close to the size of my hand;still have a few hills to dig.
That leaves the pumpkins,close to 15 for sure,all of various sizes;some were pulled,others left to grow some yet;there are a few of the little decorator sort,kinda cute little fellas;that leaves the dill,of which there is plenty,and the swiss chard-still some for me to put away for the winter and plenty if the deer decide they need a snack.
Busy week coming up-massive canning operation ahead,3 friggin medical days(PITA)and then theres just the doggin I have to do-ahhh,such is the life! gotta love it!

Started out with our electricity going off and it was off for a half hour, not sure how long it was off earlier. At least it came back on in time for me to get ready for church. I went to church with Cheryl and Kevin. I came home and started sewing after talking on the phone to my 3 daughters. I finished sewing and two daughters and granddaughter came over. We visited for awhile and then went to Amber's and had pizza for supper. After eating we sat out in the lawn chairs and watched the men put some of the fencing on the posts they have put up for the chicken pen. We got rained out and went back in the house. I finally got home a bit ago and am ready for bed. Hope all had a good weekend.

Woke up this morning to RAIN! What a blessing! We need it so bad. But it stopped mid-morning.

Went to church, where I sing in the choir. DH texted me that our son stopped by and wanted me to stop on my way home to get chicken for lunch.

Cleaned up lunch and then supervised DH fixing the screen doors on my porch. The danged squirrels poked holes in BOTH this spring trying to get in the porch to eat my sunflower seed. He re-screened them, then put metal pet-guards on them to keep the squirrels out. I was really glad to have that project done.

Then I cleaned my half of the garage. Tomorrow is trash day and I filled 4 trash cans. I just went for my daily walk (1.75 miles around the golf course adjacent to our house), and its now everybody on their own for supper - just like georgysmom's house. My feet hurt.

littlebug5, we've been dry for the past 10 days, and the grass is browning. No rain in the forecast for this week.

Sounds like project day with the screen doors and cleaning the garage.

I should have gone IN the gym, and good for you getting your walk in

I am ready to rest now, Glenda. Changed the sheets on our bed, just took the cake out of the oven. It's a pound cake, so was easy to make, got the refrigerators really cleaned out and washed down and made a cheese ball.

DH said he would drive me to Richmond (about an hours drive) so I will lightly nap to and fro. That will be so helpful because I have to pre prep Tuesday night's dinner when I get back and tidy up the house. I have a little bit of ironing to do too but will just do the bare necessity. I think cousin's wife will just want to rest on Wednesday because she doesn't travel well so I will be able to catch my breath a bit. Cellulitis seems to be clearing up.. Felt a little guilty today because the doctor said I really shouldn't be using my right arm. I did give it a rest yesterday but there just was too much to do today. I was suppose to go to Wine and Cheese tonight....had my hors d'oeuvre already made but couldn't afford the time. Oh well, there will be others.
