No suggestions for names...seems they have to grow into a name, but just wanted to say she looks really sweet and innocent in those pics! Now time will tell on that statement!! LOL!!

She is just adorable, Lydia! And poor Winston! He needs to just give in to the darkside and be a friend! He'll soon find out that dogs are all that bad! LOL!!!

She looks a lot like a dog we used to have (my dad's favorite daughter, I think!) - Penny (actually Penelope Louise was her full name).

I like Heidi, that's cute. She looks so SWEEEET!!!! What a precious little girl!

She is soooo cute. Heidi is not my favorite. I like Pippa. However, since she was lost and found like my last dog, I would call her J.D. for Jane Doe.

In the first photo, she looks as though she's saying "Here I am, safe and sound".

Thank you so much for getting a rescue dog. I've recently become involved with a local rescue group and we help find homes for animals that are at our local animal shelter so they don't get put to sleep. It is rewarding and heart breaking at the same time. So we really appreciate people like you who choose to rescue a dog. The animals really know it too and appreciate it. She is adorable :)

OH that is so weird you said Gretchen because I was just sitting around thinking of names for a cutie pie dog and I thought she needed to be "Gretta"...very close. So it's official Gretta or Gretchen...HA!

Oops, I had not remembered the first post gave Gretchen as a choice, that must have stuck in my subconscious mind and I came up with the Gretta name...gah...hahaha!

Thanx for adopting a rescue. You will be repaid many times over with loyalty and love. I have four rescues right now of one kind or another and I couldn't ask for a better bunch of boys.

A precious pup! Rescue dogs are the best - we have two.

I'm always happy to see a rescued animal get a home. One concern though, with the looks of Dox in her, it's usually a bad idea to get them used to sitting up. Their backs often can't take it for very long and seeing a dog with a bad back and the resulting pain is heart-wrenching. A friend's vet told her to stop her Dox from sitting up. She somehow decided it was better begging sitting up!

Winston will probably adapt! At least he's (apparently) not attacking the newcomer!
