Wow...ours went down to 3.42 from 3.45 yesterday.
But, we do have a number of refineries here.

I wrote on the other thread that our gas went up .12 overnight--it has now gone up another .35 to $4 a gallon. My husband said people were getting angry with each other and it was very uncomfortable there. Sheila

I paid $3.69 last week, today gas was $3.79.

dh just called and paid $4.05! it's on the co card but still...guess they're blaming ike, and texas refineries closing...

noticed though price per barrel has dropped to $102, (opening this am) but the prices sure havn't gone down....

From last night to this am went up 12 cents a gal, then I went out for "Grandparents Day Lunch" at school and it had gone up another 14 cents a gal! That's 26 cents in less than 24 hours.

I just filled Mom's car at $3.44 a gallon. It was $3.59 last week.

We haven't been below 3.65 in over a year! Yesterday gas was 3.64 at the local bargain station..this morning it was 3.71..this afternoon it was 3.81, and the pumps were taped off as they were out of gas (regular, at least) and very few people in this area use premium. Granted, we are in the boonies and tanker deliveries tend to be erratic.

This whole thing smacks of the same mentality that screams "we have to go buy bread and milk!" every time there is a single snowflake forecast. If people would just calm down, and buy what they need (and maybe a little more) instead of filling up every container they can find, we could all relax and work together a little more.

I bought $30.00 worth of gas yesterday- paid $3.43 a gallon. On my way home I was told that I needed to make sure the tank was full so I stopped at 2:15pm and paid $3.89. On my way to pick up DH from work the same station was up to $4.09. First time we have been over $4. I could just cry!

We used to fill up when the tank got to 1/4 tank, then as prices went up about a year or so ago, raised it to fill up at 1/2, this year we have been filling up at 3/4 tank, so it isn't so hard on the pocket book.. as we have 3 vehicles to purchase gas for.
This time out we only needed to buy a little gas for 2 vehicles to have full tanks on all.. at the same station prices went from $3.49 yesterday to $4.49 today at noon and guess they were still rising. That was a $1 increase in 24 hours. Local news had some stations running out and lines were extremely long. They were blaming the shortage on Ike and the closing of refineries for the storms.

I live in East Tennessee and won't be going anywhere this weekend. Glad I am off work and don't have to report back in until Monday. Extra shopping and side trips are out until prices are back down for me.

We went from $3.43 on Monday to $3.79 on Tues morning. Then down to $3.69 Tues afternoon. So far, it hasn't gone up anymore, but I bet it will.

Gas went from $1.24 per litre to $1.36 here in Southern Ontario Canada Yesterday. Luckily I had filled up the night before.

Friday afternoon was $3.67 and Saturday morning was $4.15.

I paid $3.35 (cheapest I've paid in a LONG time) on Thursday. I had about 1/2 tank, but I was doing errands in the county south of us where the gas is always cheaper by about 10-15 cents a gallon, so I decided to top off. Now I'm glad. Haven't been down that way in a few days, but I suspect it's back near $3.50 or so?

$3.71 now up to $4.04, but that's for REGULAR and no regular available.
