Hey crazy, thats so funny with the name thing. Just got two shub and two fan tail to start our population and guess what their names are. The two fantails are lucy and ethel( because they r orange like lucy and ethels hair). then we had named the shubs ricky and fred. rickie has a red spot on his head that kinda reminded me of the fedoras and hats that desi used to wear. Fred didnt make it past the first nite so i just replaced him yesterday with our new shub named nemo. Also picked up a couple of feeder gf's that were pretty good size, havnt figured out one of the names but the whitish one with a hat like rickies is now lil ricky. spent too much time with the new plants yesterday to take any pics of the fish but if i take some tonite ill post them here. Have the pond pic's and looking for some plant anchoring advice in my Windy City Planting thread if you care. Mike R

He is just the cutest little boy!!! Years from now you will all look back at this picture, instead of saying "Aw, wasn't he cute at that age." You will be saying, "Remember that year! Grant fell and scratched his nose and we had to wait to take picture......." Even the booboo's make fun memories.

Once you have a plan in place, it will probably be worth it to find a good landscape nursery. I have to travel an hour to mine. On the flip side, if you don't mind small plants, you can often find things by mail order. Small plants usually grow fast if they are going to flourish, so if you don't mind sparseness for a few years, it ends up filling in faster than you'd think. I usually do a mix, some bigger expensive plants and then some bargains and often some smaller mail order plants that I can't find anywhere else.

Lovely. You have chosen well and I love the fact that you are willing to take your time to get things right. It's amazing to me how many people expect things to be perfect right away, all at once. That rarely, if ever, works, and takes the fun out of the process. Many of them could learn from your example.

Nice looking Moni!

When I see your picture, I can hear you saying , you shouldn't eat that chocolate donut(in your German accent) to me and Judy. It makes me smile...and chuckle.

That cut looks good and the hat also. DD's hair is almost as long, but hers is growing out from the chemo treatments. Looks kind of cute for her.

Perfect! Looks great, including the hat. I'm due for a haircut later this week. That is how I want mine! I'm assuming it is real short and tapered in the back, kinda like a man's?

New cut, new hat, wearing red . . . sounds like you have found the new Moni.
