I enjoyed it, too. I think a lot of us either folded clothes or ironed while watching back then. Sure made ironing go easier for me, since I hate it so much!

Recently saw an fairly long interview with Susan Lucci and her husband of many years (possibly on Sunday Morning show). The interview took place at her home and the Pine Valley studio.

She really seems like a sweet, wonderful (not to mention beautiful) 60 year old woman. One that I wouldn't mind sitting down and talking to and I've never watched a single All My Children.

I hope she finds something to keep her active and happy now that the show is over.

Jodi, she designs (I think) and sells jewelry on QVC. I doubt if she'll be idle long, but after working 40 years I think she deserves a nice long vacation.

I used to watch AMC faithfully, years ago. Then the actors started being younger with story lines to go with them. The past 8-10 years I would tune in every month or so. I have watched all this week and liked how they brought in some past cast members and honored departed cast members. I watched the final show today and thought it was sort of a weird ending. It was a weird ending. I wish they'd just ended it when Erica ran after Jack saying, "Jack, I need you" and he turned around and said, "Erica, I don't give a damn what you need." Now that was funny and light and an obvious take on Gone With the Wind.. But the whole JR thing was strange.

I heard that they left an opening to take up where they left off on the internet. I have watched this show on and off for many yre. I personally can't understand what all the hoopla is about Susan Lucci. She certainly looks wonderful for her sge (65 in Dec), and has a great body, but IMHO she can't act worth a damn, she can sure over act tho. Thus the 20 plus Emmy nominations with only 1 win. I think she got that one as an award for her longevity.

All these years, I never watched the show.

Only daytime soap I ever watched was Edge of Night when I was preggie with my son, back in 1965. Never watched after he was born or any daytime soaps.

I heard the show ended with cliffhangers. How do you fans feel about that?

I never saw AMC......I was hooked on Days of Our Lives. :-)

I watched it and recorded it. Saw JR handling a gun after leaving Babe ...something got my attention ..next thing I saw was the local news.
Later that evening saw bits of the end that I didn't see. I even looked at my recording ..it stopped with the last scene I saw and the local weather update as I remember seeing.

Did it run over an hour ..would think it would 've caught all of it ..is it just the DFW station that missed some of it or just me?

My youngest sister was a fan from the beginning. I'll have to check with her. I never got into AMC. I always liked General Hospital, and it's still on. Back in the day, my favorite was Another world. It's been gone a long time.
