I'm, getting to the point where I need some kind of dolly or something, there's no reason to suffer through lugging these pots if I can find something that'll work. Before I shell out the big bucks on the tree dolly K got, I did some research & found this one: Most regular dollies just won't work, the toe plate is too short. This one however, says the unfolded depth is 32", so the toe plate must be substantially larger than average. The reviews I could find say that also. The toe plate on the one K got from Northern Tool says the toe plate is 21", I think this one should be almost as long. It's rated for 250 lbs. although Bosch says you could go 275. It's fully collapsible for storage or transport but the reviews are great, saying it's sturdy. It's called the Bosch L Cart and it's made to hold these tool box things but of course many people are using it as a regular dolly. It was $99 + tax / free shipping. I've said, hundreds of times, over the years, to myriad people ... ... that one of the best stress-relievers around is a bit of humour from time to time (as long as it's not aimed at rooting someone in the ribs). But - they can't bottle it ... and sell it ... so there doesn't seem to be a great deal of interest in it. ole joyful P.S. My recipe for unstuffed pepper soup doesn't call for mushrooms. I don't use 2 cans of tomato soup. I use 1 can of tomato soup and a can full of ketchup. I also don't add the rice to the soup. If you have any soup leftover and have the rice in it the rice will suck up all the juice so you won't have "soup" the next meal. My husband prefers it over macaroni. I put the rice or macaroni in the bowl and then put the soup over it. It also freezes really good. We just had it for dinner night before last and we are on the road in our motor home. We are in Tyler, Texas visiting folks from here and the Meeting House. Today Vannie and her husband came to visit us. They took us out for a tour and then stopped at a restaurant in Longview for late lunch. It was wonderful and we are now stuffed so no cooking for me tonight. Our weather is 81 degrees with 37% humidity and a nice breeze.

Walnut Creek, your request for a recipe led me to the box with the recipes written on scraps of paper bags, fancy embossed stationery, and notebook paper, all in the beautiful handwriting of long gone family....my mother, her mother, her mother's mother, and aunts from two generations. On the top of my mother's recipe is the phone number of the butcher whom she had "trained" to select and grind the meats for her. Thank you! Grandmother's Ham Loaf 1 lb. Coarsely ground ham 1 lb. Ground pork, not too fatty 1/2 lb. (or more) Ground chuck 2 large eggs 1 cup milk 1 cup cracker crumbs (crushed white crackers) 1/2 tsp chopped parsley S&P Baste with: 1/2 cup each brown sugar, white vinegar, and water 1 T dry mustard. Simmer the baste ingredients for five minutes. Baste the loaf several times while baking. [One large loaf or two smalls. Grease the pans.] Bake for 60 minutes @ 350. My Mother's Hamloaf 1 egg 1 lb coarsely ground ham 1 lb coarsley ground pork, lean 1 cup tomato juice 1 cup cracker crumbs 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup chopped green pepper Same mustard sauce as a baste. Short cut: buy the cuts of ham and pork (and beef) and let the butcher grind them together. Coarse grind is a must. I'm sure that there are lots of recipes on line, too. P.S. MAKES THE BEST SANDWICHES, EVER.
