Back porch, bug

It has been hanging out on the sliding glass door for 3 days, so I finally took it's picture. Must have been what it wanted 'cause 10 minutes later, it was gone. Those legs are close to 3 inches long.

Jodie, I have almost that same picture of Bodie.....interesting place and lots of photo ops.
Did you go to Mono Lake?

Carol, yes, we went to the north shore of Mono. There is a long boardwalk down to a beach area and viewing platform (I visited the other shores last fall where there are a lot more tufas). Just as we were approaching the beach and viewing area, hundreds of shorebirds exploded into the air like nothing I've ever seen. We continued to the viewing area, wondering what would have caused such a stir ... when we saw it ... a large, wet badger strolling along the beach.
