It was a pretty good shopping at rummages for me too. I went a few times these past few days. I got some good books, $.25 each, a pair of glass salt and pepper shakers for my table for $.50, a yard of green and white striped fabric, $.25, 4 yards of flowered print fabric, $.25, a yard of fleece fabric, $.25, several shorthand tablets at $.25 each, a big ceramic doggy bowl for $1.00, a big baby doll that cries, $1.00, brand new packages of hair clips 6 in a bag for $.50, two big Rubbermaid trash cans with lids and wheels for $5.00 for the two, (I gave those to Amber and Mike), a nice electric pencil sharpener for $5.00, a battery operated baby bouncey thing with new batteries, a mat you lay on the floor in the shape of an elephant with a mobile above it, several little baby long pants and several tops, 4 pair of new sock booties, a little mattress for a changing table, and 3 receiving blankets all for $2.80! Those all went home with Amber. I may have forgotten a few things as it has been over the past 2 or 3 days. Oh I did buy Amber a top for $.50 and my Mother a nice pink shawl and a pair of new leg warmers, they were also $.50 each. A brand new in the packaged DVD of Butch and Sundance, The Early Years, it was $.50. I also bought myself a piece of Strawtown pottery, it is a bowl with an ear of corn on it. Strawtown is near our family farm. I had to pay $2.00 for it. So I had a good time this weekend with the rummages. Anyone else had fun this week?

I hit the ARC for my once a week look-see...got a book for $1.50 on decorating with fabric, ya know....slip covers, curtains, upholstery & a square throw pillow with a down insert for $1. :0)

I hit a couple more sales later this morning. One was a bust but at the other I scored something I've been looking out for all summer - a DVD of Sweet Home Alabama, one of my favorite movies. I also picked up one of my other favorite movies - The Holiday. They were 25 cents each.

I got three purses (new) that are knockoffs but don't look like them. The lady that had the sale used to own a Lillians shop (knockoff handbags and accessories). They were $5 each and one was a red Kate spade shopper that I almost bought last week but it was too much so I passed on it. Can't even tell it's a knockoff. Also got my son two nice black and silver lamps for $5 each for his college apartment.

Yard sales are increasing in my area. College kids headed off to campuses last week. Do you suppose there is a correlation? LOL.
