We had heavy rain and moderate winds, through out the evening. No power outage, or damage. We could tell we were on the outer band.
Hope all is well up further north.

Ike looks like it may stay south of Charleston. Prayers go out for our Floridan friends. My DD & SIL, are/were going to the Keys, in a week and a half. Hopefully it will all work out OK.

We are in New Brunswick and it is supposed to pass directly between us the Nova Scotia. Got all the lawn stuff put away etc. We got hit with Jaun 5 years ago but not as bad as Nova Scotia. Hope everyone stays safe.

My niece, and her 2 children are in Virgina Beach too. Her DH is out to sea right now. I hope things aren't to rough with Hanna.

foggyj, keys are under mandatory tourist evac this weekend but by tue they will allow them back in. residents are not mandatory right now. but they should definitely check noaa (updates 5,8 & 11am/pm) since we won't know if Ike is going to hook into south/central fl until after monday. then there's a serious problem w/ evac's. ~ liz

Came through most of the night and this a.m. Still windy and should rain some more but we're ok. I'm in the Raleigh area. Thank God for the H2O!

In my part of the Shenandoah Valley right now it is "79, feels like 81, Partly cloudy."

We had what would be called a nice rain. It is usually breezy here, and is more so now. Actually a beautiful afternoon.

My sympathy goes out to all those who are being hit by the worst of it.

We are still getting some wind gusts and rain, but not near as bad as Tropical depression (Ernesto) was 2 years ago.

We also had hard rain here--and leaks in the bedroom and basement door.

We are in Wilmington, NC. Hanna made landfall just a few miles from us. There were some wind gusts, but not as much rain as I expected. There were a some small trees down & a few power outages, but nothing major.

I'm in Long Is;land NY. It's raining hard but I'm staying in. I moved all my outdoor furniture to the shed yesterday. The local TV channel says it will be past us by midnight and tomorrow will be much nicer, but still humid.

Nothing major here in eastern NC either, the power did go out for three hours, we got some wind but not real hard and we got some rain, which we needed.

I'm in southern Maine, on the coast. It's raining really, really hard. Our yard is flooded, we're hoping the driveway doesn't wash out. No wind to speak of.

The humidity today was crazy. It rained early in the morning and then stopped, but it was about 100% humidity without actually raining (the hard rain started around 5:00 pm). It was only in the low 70s but felt closer to 90.

I remember Isabel a few years ago - I had just moved into my house and boy did she pack a punch. With all the talk about Hanna, I prepared so as not to have missiles flying around by yard, or the wind ripping up my shed like before. In the end, just had a lot of rain and some periodic heavy winds. The worst was the humidity. It can get pretty humid in MD, but Hanna brought some pretty soupy air. It is wonderul here now.

Prayers in order I guess for those in Ike's path - whew, what a season already!!
