Now then back to my problem... The natural peanut butter I buy has at least two tablespoons of oil floating on the top... If I mix it all in the peanut butter it is way too runny, it actually runs out of the sandwich... I only pour off the top layer of oil, there's still an oil slick on top of the peanut butter that I do mix in, and it's more than enough oil to keep it gooey... ( I do not put peanut butter in the FRIDGE [ lol ] ) There for a while we were going through a jar a week and I now have a quart of oil... For the record the peanut butter 'solids/juice' kinda sinks to the bottom of each layer of oil... So I'm guessing that if I let it all come to room temperature all the peanut butter will sink to the bottom of the jar and if I'm very careful I might be able to pour off the oil for frying and not start a fire... I just thought someone here might know... Oh well, if you don't hear from me you know I set the kitchen on fire... lol Rita

My favorite is Peanut Butter fudge,only problem is i can't make it!! Mine never turns out the way it should.I don't mean the one on the marshmallow fluff jar either.So my sisters and niece send me some at xmas time. Also like pb&j sandwiches with either apricot/pineapple jam or blueberry jam,like grape jam,but not grape jelly. On a spoon,straight from the jar. On crackers,especially graham with some marshmallow fluff.But even though i love that last one,i don't eat it anymore,too addicting and too fattening. I also have a recipe for PB frosting on a chocolate cake,YUMMO. Just give me PB and i'll eat it someway. Kathi

I think I'd go for the peanut butter chips, some creamy peanut butter and cream. Heat the cream, pour over the chips and peanut butter to melt and you "should" have something that resembles ganache. I think. This should be interesting, I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes. Annie

Thanks for replying! Yeah, that downstairs bathroom is awkward. It's 4ft wide, which I'm not even sure is up to code, but I've seen smaller ones in my life. What I was imagining is that the shower would have a curtain rather than a door and you could walk past the toilet straight into the shower. I think that shower would rarely be used. Maybe if a kid was a huge mess and I didn't want them to track the mess up the stairs, or if hubby waits until 5 minutes before we have to leave to take a shower ( he does that) and the kids are occupying the upstairs. Also, if someone in the family is no longer able to use stairs or we have an aging parent live with us for a time, I thought we could use the office for a tiny temporary bedroom and the downstairs bathroom would be adequate for them. I was also thinking just today that if someone was residing in that room due to mobility issues, it would be great to have a door directly into the bathroom. Like 2 doors to the bathroom on opposite walls, one of which would be locked most of the time. Also... Next to the downstairs shower is a 3ft x 1ft black space. It continues up to the second floor next to the toilet. I don't know if it would work because I am certainly not a plumber, but that is where I imagined the wood stove pipe, shower fan exhaust, and plumbing being put. As it is a wood stove it doesn't need a real brick chimney, but I would put a fake chimney surround on the roof.
