Incredible show last night. I think it was the best show so far. I was thoroughly entertained. For the first time, Sanjaya wasn't bad. His performance was much better than anything he's done before. The person who really bothers me and I think could very well be booted off tonight is Phil Stacey. He was the first one to perform. I just don't like him. Something about that guy really bothers me? And I think that out of all the performances last night, his was the weakest. Until Sanjaya's performance last night, I thought he should be the one to go. Guess we'll find out tonight. I agree that LaKisha should have listened to Lulu. I wasn't as impressed by her last night as I usually am. I'm adding Jordin to my favs too. And I rather like Haley, the girl with the mole and thought she was pretty good last night, though not the best. But I don't think she can win this. Melinda is just awesome as far as I'm concerned. I think she'll do well wheather she wins this or not. I look forward to her performances every week. Joy

I voted in my office pool while on the way to meet with the realtor and I voted for Kris to win. The fellow running it texted me back and asked if I was sure because everyone else was voting for Adam so I told him Kris yes Kris. I ended up placing 5th out of 26 so I am pleased although I did not win any cash LOL!! I missed the first hour but made it home for the Queen and Kiss performance....OMG!!! Adam would be perfect in either band!! I think Brian May (the guitarist from Queen) saw that Adam would be perfect too!! In regard to the voting...I thing that a lot of folks just assumed Adam would win and so they did not vote-or maybe they tried to vote but got a busy signal and figured he was going to win....shame because he really was fantastic. Yes Adam did get America to watch Idol again and he deserves praise for that!! The part of the show I saw was really good! Amy taped the whole thing so after my chores I will sit and watch. So no more Idol, Survivor or DwtS....no worries!!! Looks like Jon and Kate are back on with their show (I bet it'll be tough to watch) and it only a few short weeks till Big Brother-my personal fave reaity show starts!! Hopefully with Julie Chen preggers they'll get someone with a personality to host it this time!! LOL!! Cheers! Susie PS....way to go Kara!! You my dear stole the show!!

I used to play in actual rock bands where I had to sing, so karaoke hardly makes me nervous (although I'm not used to having the backing band never mess up!). My fave karaoke song was "Be Bop A-Lula" by Gene Vincent, although I sang it more like Elvis would. But I liked to mix it up. I'd do a punk/metal screamer or two, then surprise the audience by stepping up to the mic and crooning a 1950s Sinatra torch song, like "Night and Day". Sadly, I don't have the voice for either anymore. Some would say I never did. I was at a restaurant/bar on karaoke night one time when I had a very sweet and very cute waitress named Sunshine (or at least that's what her name tag said). So in the most sultry voice I could muster I sang Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine (When She's Gone)" for her. Went over very well ;-) The easiest song to sing is of course "Louie Louie". You don't even have to know the lyrics! When did "Blister in the Sun" become so popular? It's one of these songs that was never a hit and rarely heard in its day (1983), yet it's all over the radio now.

Thanks for all your hard work Karen! Can't wait to read it in its entirety. Jodi-
