Please tell me what you have found that works the best for EXTREME puffiness and HORRIBLE dark circles under one's eyes.

Preparation H Creme not ointment. Trust me it works. Doc said it was fine just don't get it in the eyes. So don't rub your eyes and be sure to clean it off at night.

Erase under the eyelids. Most of my darkness is in the corners next to the nose. Little Dab will do ya.

I've got Diabetic/Allergy Puffy Eyes. I use Visine Eye Drops, which helps a little. I take a Benadryl if it gets really bad.

Take Vitamins.

Gayle is right on the button. Everything there works. I use NAtural Tears rather than the Visine because Visine doesn't come in the individual droplet tubes yet.

Thanks for the advice. I know walking irises are generally outdoor plants, but in my zone that's not much of an option, so it's nice that they do work as houseplants. Thanks for the confirmation about the Boston fern, I suspected that might be the case, but really I didn't have enough experience with them to sure. Good to know!

The best way is to create bookmarks for your favorite forums and then navigate that way. Alternatively, you can select "Advice" and then GardenWeb Forums. That will show the list and navigate to your desired location. It's a little clunky at first but you'll get used to it!

Glass containers are attractive and while some people have had success with them, they have a lot of experience in growing these types of plants. I agree with everything Rina said about the sand, but just a general rule is to avoid smaller particles like that also because it creates perched water in your mix and around the roots of the plant. Succulents store pots of water in their leaves and with no where for the water to go, the roots sit in it and rot away. For beginners I would always recommend terra cotta pots, which I find attractive anyways because they absorb water. Plastic and glazed pots can be used but you need to be a little extra careful with watering. -Erica

Seamed undermount sinks like this Karran Edge series and solid surface sinks are adhered to the deck after either having cut a rough-out as I did here or plunging through an uncut deck for the bearing to ride on the sink. No one can trace as accurately as a bearing bit on a router.

You may want to look up a product called Hylexin. It seems to work well for some people, but others don't notice a thing. It may be worth a try. It's sort of expensive; but they have a generic version at Walgreens that's a lot cheaper.

Heather, That is exactly what happens to me when I eat chocolate. I am lightly allergic to chocolate (meaning I don't get a seviere reaction.)

Actually I get a complete circle under my right eye and a half circle under the left eye! crazy! but not bad enough to give up chocolate.

I tried the Prep H and it didn't work at all for me. I did some internet research - and there are lots of opinions the Prep H. Some say if you get the kind that has been manufactured in Canada it works, but what is available in the US has been reformulated and doesn't work. I would have to agree with that.

I use a cold wash cloth on my eyes to help reduce the puffy - but I haven't found anything that really covers the dark circles well. Some of the better concealers work pretty good.

I was watching an infomercial (now you know why I have dark puffy circles - I don't sleep well, LOL) and they had a scar makeup that looked like it did a great job of concealing the dark circles. But I can't remember the name of the product. I must have fallen asleep somewhere along the line :)

Joan Crawford washed her face with Ice Cubes in the movie "Mommy Dearest". I have put Ice Cubes in a washcloth and held them on my eyes for a spell. It didn't work for me, but felt good.

I've used the cucumber slices. My eyes have circles when I first wake up, but they are gone within an hour or so. I thinkl they are from fluid.

Might be time for a checkup, since under-eye puffiness can be a symptom of diabetes, as Gayle mentioned, and also of impaired kidney function.

You might try eliminating milk for a while and see if that helps.

Extreme puffiness under the eyes in the morning that later goes down slightly, can be a sign of sinus infection. Antibiotics can help, but sinus infection is difficult to eliminate.

After eliminating the medical reasons above along with lack of sleep some dark puffy eyes may just be hereditary.

I have read that using heavy moisturizers under the eyes can increase puffiness since it is trapping/adding moisture to the area. So a wrinkle cream or night cream could be the culprit.
