Depends on the type of work that you're doing... from what I remember of Punch was that it was all pretty standard fixtures for decking, paving, and the remainder of landscaping. If you're doing a lot of custom, atypical structures or pieces, I would highly recommend Sketchup. It also depends if you actually want to create a proper 3D model of the project (from which the program can take snapshots of elevations, sections, perspectives, etc) or if you just want a program to do 2D mockups. 3D models can provide the most automation (i.e. in the production of multiple graphics), but basically you have to put in any information you want shown which is typically a huge time investment. It's after the long run, multiple revisions and versions, updates, and the production of a large number of different views that the upfront time investment starts paying off. Fastest version of creating decent presentation graphics? Probably doing a hand-sketch over a good photo (or photos) of the site, scanning it in, and doing an overlay over the original photo[s]. I would stay away from refurbs on these. The prices are pretty good with out having to take those chances. The reason I say go with 2.3 is that some things will not work on the earlier versions. I do have an Android 2.2 tablet and it does most of what I want but if I had my preference I would have wanted at least 2.3. That is a good price for the Coby, I have never messed with that one but I am on some android forums and many people do have it. On amazon it has a lot of good reviews from buyers too. I would make sure that what ever site you get it from you do have a return option just in case you don't like it. There really is not much to learn as to Android, everything is plainly labeled as an icon on the tablets and to get new apps there are lots of places to get those, if the tablet you get does have access to the android market you can get them there, or from amazon app store, or using the slide me app to get them from other sources. That has not been a problem at all quick and easy to get apps installed. Aldiko can be easily downloaded and installed from many app sources so even if one does not have it don't worry you can always add it. I see that Coby for a little less at this place Coby Electronics on the processor most you will see in that range will have the ARM11 800MHz (that range), that is pretty standard, some of the newer ones especially those with android 3 and up can have a dual core processor which is quite a bit beefier. You will also notice some say the screen is resistive or capacitative the really early resistive ones were very hard to get to respond, the newer ones respond very well with a finger nail tap, the capacitative is much more responsive and is what cell phones have and take a lighter touch with the finger tip. I have both but I have not ever had to use a stylus mine are plenty responsive with my finger. If you were used to the touch of a smart phone and picked up a tablet with resistive you would notice a difference but you quickly adjust to the differences in pressure needed. Also keep in mind that it is possible for them to be updated, the manufacturers do send out updates for them just like we update our pc, and on 2 of mine they updated the Android OS from a lower version to a higher one. I like to check the manufacturers site and see if there are updates listed for their products. My newest tablet told me there was an update for it the first time I turned it on and it was an update to the newer Android version which was really nice. I had an ad today in my email for a Velocity Micro Cruz tablet for $79 but it is already sold out, that one also has a lot of people that like it.

Sorry I got here late and I have been scouring the web trying to find out which version of Android it has on it and if it is upgradable. I have finally found it has Android 1.6 and from what I read it is not upgradable, which is a real shame. It will not do much with the 1.6 Android system. It can still be used for many things including reading books. and looking at pictures and listening to music it has quite a bit on it as it comes. You can use a usb or ethernet to it by way of a little adapter it comes with, it takes a mini sd card so you can store your books pics and tunes on there. It has a pretty low resolution so it will not be super sharp. For the price you really can't lose much if you just wanted a basic device for reading and stuff. It does have wifi and you will be able to surf and all of that including email. Where you will have problems is that many many of the apps will not work on that early version, but some do. These are older tablets from probably 2010 that is why they are putting them out there so cheap these days. It is made by pandigital the same company that made the pandigital novel that I have. here is a link to the pdf manual for it you can read more of what it can do. Manual one thing this one has the resistive type touch screen so will be a harder touch for it, you use the tip of the finger or fingernail or us the stylus. the over all reviews I have been reading are not real favorable. In todays market I am recommending Android 2.3 and higher and the higher the better Android 4.0 may be out now I know it was close to ready. So just depends on what you would want to use it for like I said.
