Amber and I had a great lunch today at Logan's Steak House. So I am not hungry this evening. I had, southern fried catfish, onion petals, fried apples and endless glasses of unsweetened iced tea. Oh, I also had one of their really good yeast rolls.

I had an app't last nite and took hubs with me. It was 1 1/2 hrs away and I was hoping we'd hit some roadside stands.

We live in Mennonite country and there were some produce stands along the way. I bought a huge watermelon (Sugar Baby) that still had the black seeds!!! Talk about flavour, and reminiscent of what watermelons SHOULD be. I also bought a cantaloupe....Ontario cantaloupes are the best!!! We ate the whole thing last nite. Unbelievable sweetness.

Sorry, I digress. We had sausage with red sauce, some beautiful thin-skinned potatoes boiled with just butter, s and p, on them, and some local broccoli.

Some luscious watermelon will be eaten later. Maybe we'll have a seed-spitting contest!

I sliced chicken breasts into a mixture of medallions and strips. Fried them up along with mushrooms. And ate the last of the fresh green beans.

I had a big luncheon after our golf tournament. Probably will make a BLT for DH since I picked up some bread last night. I might have a lettuce and tomato wrap or just an Activia.

Nikki's cafeteria downtown: snapper fingers, spinach and hominy.

tee hee, another restaurant, I walk in the door, and they have my dishes on the counter, when they see me come in ,cause I always get the same ole same ole :o)

Jas, that reminds me of when we were kids and had seed flipping contests. Actually, my father would start it, so we couldn't get it trouble, but it got very loud and happy at our table!

Shirley, your dinner sounds easy and light. What I need on these hot evenings we'll still be having for the next two months. It's getting harder and harder to find a menu that isn't to heavy.

No Patti, we didn't win. This is really just kind of a mixer with other clubs in the area. If your team wins, all you get is a golf ball, three if you come in first! It's really about having the opportunity to play another course and meeting new people. I played with three very nice ladies from three different clubs. It was really a very nice time, and the luncheon was great.
