Look into the Barely There bras. I have two....they slip over my head, don't bind and are comfortable for long periods of time.
I hate to wear bras but there are fine. But they don't offer a lot of support.

I don't know if this would work, but here's a thought: Is it possible to close a regular bra before putting it on, and then just pull it over your head? I do this with button-down blouses sometimes, so it might be worth a try.

Didn't someone say they got the Genie at CVS in the "as seen on TV section?" I could be wrong but I thought I remembered that.

Sounds like the Genie might be a good choice for her. I looked around a bit for you (Footsmart has some bras, and JC Penneys, but nothing looked like it would work.)

Do you think she can wriggle into the Genie bra, over her head or hips?

If she's not too large busted the Barely There would be perfect, I get mine at Macy/s, they're soft and non binding.

Donna, I just saw the Genie Bra on QVC over the weekend. I've not tried them but a friend just bought them for her mom for the same reason.

Mom's a 38C. The Genie Bra is available at BB&B, so we might pick up a 2-pack and see how that works for her. I'm concerned about her being able to wriggle into it, Socks, but she is adamant about the bra being pullover.

Alisande, I asked her about fastening the bra at the front first and then moving the closure around to the back or even closing it first and then wriggling into it, but she insists she wants no closures at all.

Has your mom tried front closure bras? I find them way easier to do up.

How about a Velcro front closure bra? Made especially for women with arthritis or limited mobility.

Anyway. I'm like your mom dont like closures. These have closures but I close them and pull over my head. I like them better than my Best form or Bali's. Also take a look at their panties 2 in pk for $5 they are the old style not the new high hips ones and a large variety of sizes Mom might like them too.

Dollar General has sizes up to 44D and once Mom finds one she likes you can sew the back up and cut out the hooks if that is what she doesn't like,
I'm really sold on them and the straps dont slide off my shoulders. Hope this helps.

Minnie I agree with you on those panties from Dollar General...covers every thing and are very comfortable...but give me the sports Bra...at 80 I do not need to lift them high...lol...Mary

Since I was fighting with my frozen shoulder for about a year, I had to pull my bras over my head. I like the Bali stretch bras, they stretch enough even when they are hooked closed. I think they will be much easier then any sports bra for your Mom.

I have had major issues with Bras, was using the pull on sports bras but that became an issue with my hands and the inabliltiy to grasp tightly and pull on. I discovered the perfect bra. I since have bought 5 of them in various colors and I can easily put them on and off on my own with no problem and they are absoulutely the most comfortable bra I have ever worn, nice padded shoulders and good support.

Many of the no closure bras are hard to get on and with her being elder, she may have a problem with that. Have you checked into front closure bras. Here's a link that may interest you.

Just thought I'd let you know that I bought a 2-pack of Genie bras at Bed Bath & Beyond for Mom on Sunday. She has been wearing them for 3 days now and is completely satisfied. I think I might just pick up some for myself tonight after work.
