Friend had chicken crepes.

We shared a warm cheesecake with blueberry sauce.

Just a little trip. I'll tell you about it in a seperate post. (Not anything grand--just something that we can do within his physical limitations.)

Tonight I am making a triple batch of the Rigatoni and Sausage dish that has all the spinach in it. Also making two garlic loaves.

My neighbor across the street has her two daughters and a granddaughter with her since she just had knee surgery. She is also having a colonoscopy later this afternoon. So I am bringing them dinner after they return from the hospital.

We're having toasted home grown tomato sandwiches on rye bread. Don't feel like cooking tonight.

Nita, the thought of having your rigatoni would almost make having a colonoscopy worth it :-)

I wonder when I forgot how to spell separate?

We had to take the kitten to the vet tonight (healthy kitten check-up, nothing wrong) so I made stuffed cabbage casserole in the crockpot. It really hit the spot.

Went to lunch with friends today so wasn't that hungry. However, I will be out for dinner tomorrow night and felt I had to cook something for DH tonight. We had blackened cat fish and corn on the cob.

I've been eating a Subway all day. Yesterday DS and I stopped at Subway after 5 all footlongs are $5 I got two Sweet Onion Teriyaki's on Flat Bread. I had them cut each one in four sections.

I ate two of the sections and took the rest of them home.
I forgot and left the two that I didn't et there in DS' cooler so he hadthem for lunch today.
I had two sections of the extra one for lunch and the other two for supper. Warmed up in the microwave it was a nice simple meal.

I did not eat any supper as the girls and I had a great meal at Ryan's in the afternoon. Really tasty food.

Lynn, years ago I had a recipe that called for shredded cabbage, hamburger, tomato sauce and rice that I baked in a casserole dish.
I haven't made in 20 years, and it was good. I wouldn't even know where the recipe would be. Would you mind sharing yours?

Last night was homemade hamburgers and fries. Not cooking again until DH cleans out the fridge. He's got to eat up:

Taco meat
Burgers
BBQ pork steak
Stuffing
Plate of fresh vegies

After he finishes that up, I think the next dinner will be corned beef hash, eggs and Country Sunshine's Cats Head biscuits. Can't wait to try them.

I don't have a real recipe for it, Sherry, but that is about what I do.

Mix 1# ground beef, 1# ground pork, a cup or so of white rice, 1 chopped onion, 1 egg, salt and pepper to taste. Chop cabbage and alternate layers: Cabbage, meat, 1/2 bag sauerkraut (optional), cabbage, meat, kraut. Top with can of chopped tomatoes and can of tomato sauce. I then add a few pieces of smoked sausage or kielbassi and cook on low for 8+ hours.

Don't kbow - haven't got there, yet.

Probably some cherry tomatoes, as I was weeding them before I came and many of them are ripe. Dang things - sure takes a long time to pick a bowl of them ... and over half of them split, so you have to grab 'em quickly, or they spoil.

Large tomatoes almost ready: I think there are a couple that are. Should be some ready for church, Sunday.

Beans need picking ... some broccoli is ready.

Corn is ready.

Probably have some of them with bread from my bread machine ...

... and, though bought butter on special for a neighbour and son ...

... she buys hers from a rural friend near their cottage - and son, though he used to use butter, hasn't for a long time.

So - my margarine is sitting, waiting, in the fridge ... and I have some butter to eat.

If I slice it thin for the carrier and get it out of the fridge early, it's not so difficult to spread.

Probably pie (I have some apple left that got rather smashed on the way from the store ... but still tastes pretty well the same) ... and ice cream and coffee/millk, more'n likely.

I'm eating a sandwich and popcorn and watching the Green Bay Packers play their first pre-season game.

I am heading out to get some lobsters on sale this weekend 4.99lb. and they will steam them for you at no extra charge....gotta love it.
