What's for dinner Wednesday?

No dinner for me tonight. Harry can have a meatloaf sandwich and chips. Went for chemo but because I have a bad case of mucusitis they ruled it out. Did give me an IV for dehydration. Mouth is very sore (feels like I've been stung by a swarm of bees) and in the morning my lips look like Angelina Jolie. Unfortunately, that's the only part of me that resembles her.

Think I'm going to bed and hopefully wake up better tomorrow.

So sorry you feel so bad, Patti. Today was birthday club luncheon. We celebrated my birthday which isn't until Monday but it was the only day we could all get together. I have no idea what DH is having for dinner tonight, but I'm taking the night off.

We didn't get to go out for dinner Monday night, Patti. Georgy was sick and I was so upset I really didn't feel like going out to eat. Good thing because a few minutes after we were going to leave she threw up four times. It would have been an awful mess to come home to. I have no idea what caused it but she was better on Tuesday. Not me, I was exhausted because I didn't sleep all night, worrying about her. Too bad we humans don't bounce back as quickly as dogs.

I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Patti, so sorry you are not feeling good. Try to rest as much as you can.

Dinner was tolapia with brown rice for hubby & I had a port chop.

I had a big buffet lunch, so dinner was a black bean salad w/ tortilla chips, and some hard-boiled eggs on the side. :) I didn't photograph the salad but should have! so pretty... made with what I had, so red & green bell peppers, jalapeno, mixed tropical fruit, and green onions, dressed w/ lime juice. The eggs were made this morning -- the Polish way. A basic color test run :)

I saw the most beautiful, big green peppers at the store yesterday and they ended up in my shopping cart. So, tonight I stuffed them with a spicy, cheesy, tomatoey, ricey mixture and baked them with some chicken thighs.

Great meals as usual!!! Shirley, aren't leftovers grand? No thinking of what to cook and easy cleanup. Phyllis, it's nice to take something handy and put your own touches in it. Susan, I had to laugh at you taking yourself physically away from the kitchen to avoid eating more. I agree, the packaged meals are definitely portion-control! Pam, leftover lasagna sounds good! Especially with your snowy weather. Raven the rotisserie chickie and your sides make a great meal! Angela, your dinner sounds so good. I really like the idea of the pasta and shrimp salad. Cherryfizz your meal made my mouth water. Did you use chicken breasts?

FEEL BETTER SOON!

I have a green bean/tater tot casserole in the oven. All I had was cream of chicken soup. Hope it tastes ok with the hamburger...

I am so sorry you are not feeling well Patti, hope you do really soon. This morning we took Izzi for her yearly check up, no shots due this year just a couple of tests. I canned beans this afternoon and am ready to can more tomorrow. My supper was Smokey Grillers, pork and beans, cottage cheese, zucchini jam on buttered bread, and milk to drink.

I am so sorry you're not up to par today, Patti. I pray tomorrow is much better for you.

I took the last of the homecooked lasagna out of the freezer today. That was my evening meal.

Awe Patti..I sure hope rest helps!

I've had a pork shoulder in the oven on low all day...will serve it with slaw and bbq sauce..

Hope you're feeling better.

Tonight's supper was broiled scallops wrapped in bacon, sweet potato fries and steamed green beans.
Dessert was assorted small pastries that I bought on the way home from the hairdresser's.

Patti, your mouth has to be sooooo very sore. I'm sorry you have to go through this. I hope your tomorrow is a lot better.

We will have a late supper of leftover roast/potatoes/carrots and celery. We stopped earlier at Applebee's for our favorite dessert....Triple Chocolate Meltdown. Neither of us is hungry yet, but the dog is and she is bugging us. LOL

Hope you feel better soon Patti. So sorry you are going through this.

Dinner tonight is either kielbasa, mashed potatoes and broccoli or going out to eat I haven't decided yet.

Oh Patti, I just read up on this and it seems so painful. I wonder if they gave you any suggestions for rinsing and keeping hydrated. Please stay rested Your spirit brings so much lightness to so many people here, I hope you can feel our support.

I hate to say when you're suffering!

went to my "other wm" today..the one 3 minutes from the house hasn't had the things I need!

they had just put out slaw and amish potato salad, so bought them, also found some nice tomatoes..bingo! blts, with the 2 sides....and enough bacon left for my lunch (we use turkey bacon)
