I used to have a red front door and got lots of compliments on it.

But this house I live in now has a natural-stained door. I'd like to paint it red.

I have a stained front door with the upper part being pretty "lead glass" look. Storm door is solid glass.

I live in a planned community that requires that doors, windows and trim all match. Our front door is white. I think if we bought some fancy wood door, it would be allowed though.

I have a brick ranch with white trim. My front door has a black wrought iron security gate and a wood door painted black.

Same as Jodi. Also white. They sure like everything uniform around here. Only our unit colors are by choice from their color charts. That's okay, though. At least we don't have to paint it or have it done.

A purple-y burgundy color which matches our shutters.

Brick red, matching the bricks on our Victorian. Trim is white, brick red, and grey.

Blue with a brass kick plate at the bottom. We need a brass knocker now to finish dressing it up.

Ours is natural Oak - it works for this house. My previous favorite door color was slate blue - matched the shutters. I changed the door color on my previous house about 4 times - the blue was my favorite. It was brick red, deep purple, and white before that.

"Turtle green" is the best way I can describe it. Very dark green with no blue in it. It's a Pratt & Lambert paint--Rockingham Green, I think.

Mine is red too, a semi dark red. It came that way when I purchased the home and love it ever since!

Butterscotch.....to go with the Vanillin house and the slightly lighter than butterscotch trim. (I forgot the name of the trim color.)

Ours is a dark brown, double door, with etched glass. Our house is a light beige, and all the trim is dark brown.

we tried red and it was aweful with the brick..so repainted white and brass kickplate, handle, and knocker..

Mine is blue,for now.Several years ago i said i was going to paint it red,and while dh didn't say anything,i don't think he liked that idea,as about 2 days later when i got up i found him out there painting the door~~~~~~~~~~~BLUE.I didn't like it then,and while it has grown on me,i still don't like it,and when the weather cools off a little i'm going to paint it red,and he's not even gonna know about it til i start it.LOL

He usually doesn't care what i do to the house,but for some reason a red door didn't sit too well with him.Now years have gone by and it's my turn...........GRIN Our house is a greyish blue with white trim,and i think the red will be awesome!!

My front door is recessed and always shaded and we wanted a bright color that would make it appear more prominent.

I call mine a Cape Cod blue and the house is a soft gray. It's not high contrast but I think it's a pretty combination.

Clairdo - ours is a very similar colour and also has the white trim. I LOVE it.

Mine is a style much like clairdo, with panels of stain glass on each side that matches door. It is blue/green color,like the color of copper when it becomes oxidized.
The main color of the house is a soft grey, with a lot of white trim as well.
I have though many times of changing the color, but have not found a color combination I like better, so just keep touching up as needed...

Door and wooden storm door are a chalky reddish pink with the darkest green paint available with out going to black. The clapboard farmhouse is white and has always been for 170 years, and as far as we know the original doors have always been that real dark green. I, however, added the chalky red color to the doors and all the 40 odd window's trim. People call it the Xmas house.
