What about a rice dish to go with your ham.I don't have any recipes for you, but our group sometimes has pulled pork in bbq sauce, chili, baked beans and ham, as well as meatballs in gravy. We've even had Mexican night, where you just cook up a big pot of ground beef with taco mix and set out "Scoops", so people can help themselves to the taco meat and all the fixins, such as salsa, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, and put that all over the Scoops. That always goes over big.

Coleslaw is a great side..one with pineapple in it would be fun and keep with the theme.

There are some traditional Hawaiian dishes on the link I've posted below. Some of them, such as lomi lomi salmon, may be cost prohibitive for your group.

One thing I don't see listed on that web site is macaroni salad. It's everywhere in Hawaii, and often comes in box lunches. Some places add potatoes to it, so it's kind of like a cross between potato salad and macaroni salad.

Sweet potatoes are very popular in Hawaii.

I found some recipes on allrecipes.com that might work.

For desserts do a search there for Ono Butter Mochi, Pani Popo and Hawaiian Wedding cake (several recipes for that).

A easy salad would be Tropical Salad with Pineapple Vinaigrette (also on allrecipes.com).

Did you mean Jello shots or shooters? I've never heard of pudding shooters.

Don't overlook any Asian dishes you come across.You already have pineapple in the ham sauce,probably on fruit platters and in desserts. If I did slaw I'd dress it with a spicy peanut sauce. I took pulled pork to my last Luau themed event and it went fast. Don't cook it in BBQ sauce though. Serve a sweet and spicy sauce on the side. Just throw the pork shoulder in a crock-pot with a bit of beef stock or broth and a little leftover brewed coffee. Hawaii is known as the sandwich islands. You could make little sandwiches with lunchmeat and cheese on mini Hawaiian bread rolls. If you serve chili have white steamed sticky rice to serve it over. Like Uxorial said macaroni or mac/potato salad is a Hawaiian staple. If you can come up with something using Spam that would be another. Kimchee is another popular food. Corn or corn relish is good too.
