Yes, outdoors I have all kinds of roses, lillies, and dicentras. Indoors I have African Violets and spider plants. They are my "collections".

I like ferns, and also all flowering plants. I like tropicals, but I live in the north, so I have to settle for those that I can overwinter in the g/h. I have 10 rose bushes. Oh, and I like fruit trees. I have two apple trees and a cherry tree. I wish I had room for a peach tree.

I like almopst all plants and flowers. Succulents are my least favorite. I don't dislike them, they are just my least favorite. I

I have three varieties of elephant ears. They make a good backdrop for more colorful flowers.

I have more daylillies than anything. The lady I get mine from wrote me a sweet note the other day. She asked if I had any favorite colors. She's going to clear out some of her old ones and wanted to give me a few if I had room for them. I take pictures of her and her friends and sisters that help with her sale every June and I also take pictures of her day lily beds every year. I send her a copy of them. I never let her pay for them and she said she wanted to do something for me. She's even going to dig mine up for me and set them aside. Her master gardener friends are coming to get some too, but they will have to dig their own.
I met this lady when I was a master gardener. If my work schedule hadn't interfered I would still be a MG. I thought about getting back into it after retiring, but I'm no longer interested in going to class again to be recertified.
Back to your question. I like them all.

I like everything in my yard except catus. Next year I might make a Thyme garden. I love lemon thyme the most.
Blue sage, flowering sages, might be another collection one of these years.

I like all plants, but collect tropicals, mainly less common tropical plants - I lost about half of mine last winter, but have gotten some replaced - I have quite a few different tropical blooming plants again.

I love hostas and all the different sedums. An annual I love is guara; I believe it is native to the moountainous west. It just blooms all summer on its tall wavy stems, and just doesn't get bogged down in the heat.

I grow a variety of plants outside (very few indoors because of the cats), but the only ones I could be accused of collecting are roses and iris.

I usually buy one rose a year locally; the rest are bought online during good sales. (This year it was Home Depot's half-price, free shipping online sale.) The iris come from BlueJ. Wonderful catalog on their website, and excellent prices. I couldn't afford to order so many otherwise.

I love all plants. I tend to gravitate to hoyas and I love all the tropicals. If I had to put a name to the type of gardens I have I would call it a tropical cottage garden. I definitely choose plants to attract and host the butterflies and birds with some alocasias, gingers and palms thrown in the mix. I'm trying real hard to stick with the natives but sometimes I just have to have that gorgeous big leafed tropical. If I had more room I would plant more crape myrtles too. My favorite flowering tree! But on my screened porch I have only hoyas and orchids. I, too, definitely like the varigated tropicals.

I love the tropical look of the elephant ears and have them shading the one side of the house. I have a portadora that I hope to be able to overwinter. Have tried very unsuccessfully to find a Mickey Mouse Elephant ear. Me want baaad. LOL. Also have basjoo bananna trees around deck to aid in that tropical look.

I've got a lot of different favorites. Hydrangeas, clematis, oriental and asiatic lilies, and day lilies here at home. At the cabin I'm downsizing. Since I've moved the old trailer out and I'm still in the process of cleaning up that spot, I haven't done much in the flower/plant area. I did plant an elephant ear, and some caladium by the storage shed. I also put in some day lilies. I'll have to dig up the ele. ear, and caladium in another month though to store for the winter. Up there I also have a Bleeding Heart, and a couple clematis. I had to tear down the clematis that was on the deck. It's still in the ground, and hopefully I can dig it up next spring and move it up above. I'll put it on some type trellis between my sisters trailer and me. Her's is becoming a pathetic mess. It'll block the view of the junk she's got setting around. I could go on about that, but it's another story.

I like tropical plants & trees that produce flowers, preferably fragrant, and/or fruits! Although, I also like roses and hydrengeas.

Tropical plants. I love brugmansias, cannas and anything tropical and 'exotic' or what is considered to be exotic here. This year I added nothing to my collection, just didn't have the time nor finances to do so.
