OMG I just got back from the Twilight Zone

How it happened, I don't know. Somehow I logged into animal debates instead of the KT. Post after post after post about animals, from all of the posters I had never heard on before. I thought to myself, what is going on here. I know I had been away for a few days, but my gosh. I started to post a querry about 'why so many animal post?' when I relized that I was on the animal debate forum. LOL

I'm still laughing. Boy it sure is good to be back at the KT. There's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home. LOL

LOL!!! Welcome back Sue...Now that you've found your way home you need to get busy and catch up on everything.

The next time you're going to be gone for a few days, be sure to leave a trail of crumbs so you can follow them to get back. Just don't leave any chocolate crumbs. They will mysteriously disappear and you might end up somewhere else again.

My poppies lived right through lower 20 temps and a snowfall. Stop worrying. Even after planting them out, they've done fine. Yeah, I lost a couple sprouts, but the HOS method takes care of that. Mostly, they're the ones around the edges of the hunk. Just leave them out there. Make sure they don't get too warm. You should be able to plant them out in a month. They won't grow much beyond the first leaves unless you fertilize them.

Just got back from Lowes!

I got a whole rack of plants from Lowes a couple of weeks ago for $20.00. I got several flats of petunias, 18 quarts of the cyclemen, a couple of orchids, 11 hanging baskets of pansies, some houseplants, and several other things. Sometimes they give you a great price and other times they want more than they are worth. These were all in pretty good shape. Wish they would mark the lady slipper orchids down some. I'm dying for these but hate to spend too much because I've never grown orchids before this year.

Just got back from Madison Garden Expo!!!

I think I want to stay off I90 for awhile. There's a patch of 90/94 just south of Madison that seems to be jinxed. First, the hundreds of cars that piled up in the fog, then the thousand-some cars that sat for over 12 hours with the snow and ice, then this past Sunday was another accident involving 10 cars that closed that same stretch of interstate again. Btw, loved the Expo...bought Ivory Price hellebores (for $4!), some herbs, a few copper flowers, talked to Shelley Long (PBS, Wisconsin Gardener), sat in on a few seminars. The only thing that would get me out of the house at -10 would be gardens.

Sounds like you had a great day!! And you have beautifully described it at length. I can imagine how you would have felt being there because I too have attended a fabulous wedding reception in a castle wedding venue in Toronto. If I remember correctly, Le Jardin is their name. I felt the whole look and settings of the hall as a fairytale. The settings were lovely and the food served was mouth watering. Everyone at the wedding raved about the settings and overall ambience of the night. We all had so much fun. It was really a magical, memorable night!

Thanks guys--LOL to funny-chocolate crumbs-as if I would leave a crumb. I'm keeping the ruby slippers on just in case I get lost again.

I have always had a bad sense of direction, but this is getting ridiculous.

I thought I was in the Twilight Zone today too. I have a PC and a Mac on my desk at work but only one monitor. There is a button on my desk that toggles between the 2 computers. All of a sudden I was toggling back and forth every time I touched the keyboard!! I just thought the whole system had gone bonkers. I finally found the "button" under the keyboard so every time I touched the keyboard it was pushing the button. I felt really blonde.

Linda, if I had two computers, I truly would be dangerous.
Caroline, your family sounds like mine, needless to say, it takes a lot to scare me.
