Huh? That's too odd. She posted a joke just yesterday afternoon. I don't see any controversial threads. One always gets a "Friendly Warning" message or 2 waaaay before any banning. Doesn't make sense.... unless, of course, something sinister is going on behind the scene.

she went thru so much with her mom. Maybe something was mis-interrupted by someone who complained. I cannot see where she did anything wrong, as to compared to others. Maybe the powers to be could let us know what went down. I do know that many of our good friends have dropped out for various reasons. Also we have many posting that have belonged to GW for quite awhile, but I do not recognize them and some of them are a bit different.

I just wrote Garden Web a note asking why jasdip has been banned. I told them that we all look forward to the daily trivia quiz and will start suffering withdrawal if they don't let her post!

What???? What on Earth could she have done to be banned! Spam? Something just isn't right here.

Health & Beauty and another forum are miserable places because they are plastered with spam. GardenWeb--focus on those forums not on a well-liked active participant like Jasdip.

The first time it happened she told me she had contacted them asking why and they told her something alerted their "whatever" and automatically blocked her. (Not exact words, but you get the idea.) They were working on it so it wouldn't happen again and she was okay for a week or so and BAM it happened again. I sure don't understand it, but maybe Tamara or someone will explain it to us.

Isn't that one of the most ridiculous things? GEEZ!!!! To think that this board is sensitive to spam.....with all the pop-ups and highlighted test I'm surprised it can differentiate!

I just wrote Gardenweb asking that she be reinstated.

Relax, folks! Sherry hasn't been banned and I already contacted her very early this morning and she is well aware that she has been unblocked. If she hasn't posted today, it's not because she can't. As Patti stated, we have been working on a spam filter and there is still an issue. It's certainly not intentional and there is no dark force at work. The filter should ban some of the spambots that you see that can quickly fill up a forum with garbage in a matter of minutes. It's been working fairly well, but there is a glitch that is still being addressed. If this happens to anyone else, all you need to do is email and I'll take care of it.

Thanks, Tamara. While we've got your ear, could you please look at so many of the other forums where Spam rules? It seems that those are not monitored at all. And they would be much more used for valid posts if the spam wasn't so over-riding.

Weddings, entertaining, etc. It seems sometimes like Kitchen Table is the only monitored forum and many of the rest are totally spam, undoing any real posts.

All of the forums are moderated, not monitored. The reason those forums get so much spam is because of the topic -- it just lends itself to spam. I'll go through them next week and give them a good cleaning. The best way to get spam removed as quickly as possible is to report it using the 'contact us' button at the bottom of the page.

Back when I came up with idea for the baby shower,nita took over and they banned her I think they thought we were running a business I guess.I was just making history..

Well, I consider Jasdip a heroine. Handling this with class, she has brought out the problems to the powers that be that there is real spam out there but not here. I'm new on this site and just love it with her as a regular. If she can get a spell checker on here while she is at it I would be ever so grateful.
