If you own a .22 rifle, look for CB Long rounds; effective and no louder than a staple gun. Also note that relocating animals is technically against the law, not to mention you're handing over your problem to the next guy. Winter is a great time to cull the herd, because it's actually open season, and you're not going to leave behind a nest of helpless young to starve to death. I'm a rabbits in the yard hater, and a rabbits on the dinner table lover, but I do not want to leave a nest full of babies to die a long, miserable death by taking its mother away. Joe

Hi all Im a longtime lurker. I love this site and continue to turn to it for inspiration and sound advise! I am in my second bathroom remodel. Here is my dilemma. I'm installing a barrier free, 2 person shower 68x38. With Dornbracht hand-showers (Habitat Restore) Hansgrohe body sprays (Craigslist). In a bathroom that is 5.5 x 8". After choking on the prices of the bids to install tile I have opted for a modern, custom solid surface pan otherwise known as cultured marble. A fraction of the price of the lowest tiling bid. Something I wouldn't dream of when I started the renovation or this 1100sf flat. I have till monday to decide on the color. The bathroom is on the dark-side with one north facing window. To help brighten it I have a glossy white on white tile 8x24 for the shower and Porcelanosa cubica blanco for the niches. The floor is a light gray 13x13 quartzite. The toilet is a white Toto Pacifica and the sink a white 12x 24 ceramic wall mount. I want a bright, tangerine pan to pop this bathroom. My bestie thinks I should get white. It is my hope that the playful modern renovation of this apartment will help garner top dollar in an expensive and tight rental market in SF, CA. Yes it is a rental. I am very torn. What if I'm wrong? I believe in my design choices but it is a gamble. Go big? Play it safe? I see I have posted in the wrong place. Grrrr...I dont know how to move it to the forum. Just because something can be opened/closed over the phone or internet doesn't make it less secure. You still have to jump through a lot of identity hoops to withdraw close out a CD, You can only close it out at it's maturity. You can only add to it during rollover periods unless it's an IRA-CD. Haven't some of you dealt with banks before? Anyone trying to close an account would know how it is not always as easy as it may appear. The more money of yours they have the harder it is to get them to release it. I took care of my dad's financial affairs during his final years. He was competent 'til the end but wanted to ease the way should I need to take over at any time. He involved me and added me to his bank accounts long before he actually would need to. I was co signer, had power of attorney and and was the executor of his estate which was in trust. We often visited the bank together and everyone knew me and also knew his wishes since he mentioned them so often. We were greeted like old friends every time we came in. When he passed away suddenly the first time I tried to release funds I was treated like an impostor. LOL Every single time I walked in the stock answer was we have to "talk to legal." I was treated like a stranger they had never seen before in their lives. LOL I finally got do disgusted with the process that I jumped through the final hoops and withdrew every red cent and opened an account at a bank down the street. It was a goodly sum at the time. I put quite a bit into CDs and grew it a bit after giving my sibling his share that he wanted at the time.

I think most are reading this wrong. I don't think the OP is concerned about the cat getting into the water as much as she's concerned the cat getting out into the outside. I'm reading it as the cat is an indoor only cat and they would like to be able to have the indoor only cat out with them in the pool area without escaping outside. But maybe I have it wrong. I think a pool enclosure is probably less obtrusive than anything else if you landscape around it as well with large pots strategically placed. A fence wouldn't stop the kitty without it being really tall and having something to prevent from getting over which I think would be more unsightly.
