Tikilyn, This is a bit bigger than the 3000 sq ft you said you wanted but, if you like it, you might be able to pare it down some IF you're willing to cut room sizes down a bit. For the most part tho, I think the room sizes you mentioned in your post are pretty good. Not dinky but not overly huge either. So, I tried to include all the rooms you showed on your sketch tho I wasn't quite sure what that room between the living room and the kids' bedrooms was supposed to be. I guessed that it was a computer room or playroom or something like that. I also stuck in a powderroom because that seemed to be missing. I wanted to simplify the footprint as much as possible because all the "corners" you had make for a very expensive build. And, to do that, I wound up moving the secondary bedrooms behind the 3 car garage. With the width of the 3 car garage, the secondary bedroom just fit behind it better than the master did. This arrangement allows all of the bedrooms except the guest room to have windows facing in two directions if you want. (Having windows that face two directions is GREAT for natural light and you won't believe what it does for the ambiance of a room!) In case you're wondering, the secondary bathrooms are all 5'x7' which allows you to have a standard-sized alcove tub/shower combo, a toilet and a 24 to 28 inch wide vanity. All interior doors except a couple of closet doors are 32" wide or wider so it is possible to get a wheelchair thru if you need to. Exterior doors and doors leading to the laundry are 36" wide or wider. Master bedroom is buffered from the noise of the living room by the fireplace, built-in bookcases, and its own recessed door. Tub in the master bath is 36"x72" and could be wider. Shower is 48"x60" and could be up 48"x72". One bay of the garage is made slightly deeper than the other two in case you have a big car or truck but even the two shallow bays are deeper than many garages. You could also put a nice deep front porch on this house if you wanted to. And/or you could add a screened porch on the back. Good luck with whatever route you decide to take.

Well, at 5'5" and 128 pounds, you're at your ideal weight. Depending on your chest size, you may not be able to lose any more. The reason why I say that is because, obviously, bigger boobs weigh more. My best friend is 5'4, like me, and at her skinniest she wore a size 9/10 and weighed 150 pounds, all because her bra size is a 38DD. I,on the other hand, at my skinniest, wore a size 9/10 and weighed 121, because my bra size was 34B. So it's all relative. I don't think you have a weight problem. I think the problem is all in how you see yourself. Anyhoo, I will address the separate issues you said you have with your body and your eating habits. You said you are the type of person who eats all the time. That can actually be a good thing- experts are now telling us that this is the way to be. All top models also eat all day. It is a way to keep from getting hungry and making the wrong choices. Do you have fresh fruits and vegetables available to you? In the mornings, instead of grabbing a doughnut or a bagel, or sitting down to a bowl of cereal before school, do fifteen minutes of excersize and grab an apple on your way out the door. Choose fruits or vegetables as snacks. Before you go to bed, do another fifteen minutes of low-impact excersize, such as leg-lifts, squats, toe-touches, etc. I've found that eating decent and excersizing daily really improves my own self-image. As for the "Pooch Belly", that's normal in women. We store fat around our reproductive organs "just in case" to aid in pregnancy. If you want to get rid of it, you can do sit-ups, and/or you can eliminate wheat flour (and yes that means white flour) from your diet. The flour is what goes straight to that area, but it can sometimes be challenging to people to find their starches elsewhere, not to mention the fact that you can't have cookies! The bit of fat on the upper thighs is hard to target. The only way I've found to get rid of it is a ThighMaster. You're not going to find a pill or "Miracle Diet" that will make you happy with your body. You're at your ideal weight. With some toning and adding some fruits and vegetables to your diet, you'll find that not only will your little problem areas all but disapear, but your body image and self esteem will skyrocket! It's amazing what excersizing does for you.

1) What is the first thing you'd do or buy for your home . . . or would you sell it and buy another? If so, where? DH and kids would never want to move. But if they were agreeable, I'd move to a house in our neighborhood that had larger bedrooms, a real guest room, a larger living room, a real home office, and a really nice finished basement with real windows and a door to the back yard. And a screen porch overlooking a not-too-big, but bigger-than-ours back yard. 2) What is the first thing you'd do or buy for your spouse or SO? I know that many of us have kids, but to keep this game reasonably short, let's not go there now . . . so just your spouse/SO: A new BMW. 3) What the FIRST foreign country you'd plan a trip to . . . and do NOT tell us "around the world!" (LOL) . . . let this be a more specific answer: Does St. Bart's count as a foreign country? 4) What first charity would you donate a significant amount of money to, or start one of your own for what cause? This is too hard! I'd have to split over several. 5) What is the FIRST big thing you'd do for YOU? Hire a housecleaner once a week and a chef to make dinner every night! 6) OK, are you still following the rules ;^D ?? I know there would be many other purchases and trips, and we'd all save a big chunk of the money, too, but what ONE other thing would you spend some that money on? My 3 kids' college tuitions. Just starting on DS #1 this fall! Can't imagine what it will cost when we get to DD, who is still only 9.
