awww, thanks Sis! You are so sweet. DH taught me about apertures, metering etc last night. I guess I had that blank look on my face and he asked me if I wanted my 12 yr. old niece to explain it to me. LOL!! I will be on Auto mode for a while, I did take some photos yesterday on Manual mode, I didn't see any difference!!?? What gives????? I will read the manual, maybe I'll learn something. Michael, I've been very patient and waited for the 'right' camera for me, I almost got a D70s but the megapixel is so low. I'm enjoying my new toy.. :)

If you don't think a trellis is going to work, then you can try making the 4x4 post into a rose support by having your husband drill one inch deep holes in the post and inserting one inch wooden dowels with wood glue about 9-12 inches long to make horizontal "branches" about two feet apart. Then either use eyehooks in the ends or just drill 1/4 inch holes in the dowels to run twine or string through them to tie New Dawn. At least this should spread the plant out a little bit. Then maybe you can wrap it around the 4x4 post.

I thank all of you for responding and I can't wait to see how successful I am with these little jewels. Here I am already looking at a bunch of those expensive BRUGS and drooling to get a couple. Of course I think it would be wiser for me to wait and see how I do with the cuttings and so forth 1st. So far everything seems to be doing ok. I had a little green one that looked kind of sick at the top and so I was going to yank it out and toss it. When I pulled it up it was rooted and had little shoots of leaves coming up from underneath the dirt. So I trimmed the top off slightly and put that puppy back in the dirt. Just like most of you I want one of those ANOUSCHKA's by Monika. That thing is out of this world. Ahhhh breath taking to say the least. But on a more realistic note I'd settle for some of these. Hey Barbra, Glad that you got a new camera so you can post pictures of your beautiful RP gardens. One day we will get you to agree to be on the Hidden Gardens Tour. I haven't seen you recently because I, we all, have been sick. We had Christmas dinner here with the neighbors, and we all have or have had the Rockport crud that is going around. Hopefully, I'll feel better and get to see you this weekend. It's very cold and very windy here today. Depending on which weather station we listen to, we might or might not get a freeze tonight. Hopefully we will not get one because all of my plants are looking pretty good right now. I'm not positive but I think your red passionflora is a Passiflora vitifolia. I had one, but it didn't make it. The good thing about the reds are the caterpillars don't bother them like they do the purples. Have fun with your camera and I hope to see you this weekend.
