Fanboys and Easylist are both good general subscriptions. Nowadays when Adblock Plus installs, it automatically subscribes you to one or the other at random. Yeah, if you don't have Easylist in there, and you disable Fanboy, you won't be subscribed to any list and Adblock Plus won't do you a bit of good. So you'll want to re-enable it. Optionally, if you want to try Easylist, it's here: http://easylist.adblockplus.org/en/ or if you'd rather: Add EasyList to Adblock Plus I wouldn't subscribe to both at the same time though, it might slow your browser down too much checking through two huge lists. :) Edit: It's okay to have both Easylist and Fanboy listed in you subscriptions... just don't have both enabled(checked) at the same time. Edit2: I just tried Fanboy on one of my other computers just in case there was a problem with one of his filters. It "seems" to work fine. I'd be skeptical about H&RBlock and here is a valid reason in my opinion. My wife and I went to Wal-Mart yesterday to purchase tax preparation software and after reading all of the packages we settled on the (Do-it-yourself tax software H&R Block At Home Deluxe Investors/Homeowners edition) for just under $40. We chose this product because on the front of the packaging it reads Federal + e-file + State and this information is also listed on the back of the packaging and it states further that this "State" download is a $36.95 value which we mistakenly believed would include a state e-file. Turns out we were "wrong." I called customer service to inquire why we were being asked to pay an additional $39.90 plus tax and they informed me that only the preparation software is included but you can't e-file it without paying an additional $19.95+tax fee per person. Now it does state on the packaging that "one state program download included" so I was expecting that they were going to charge us for one of our state returns even though we're filing jointly, that I thought was a cheap shot but to then say we both have to pay; that's deceptive advertising in my opinion. If they're willing to deceive their clients so blatantly in writing for $40, what would they do to get you to pay hundreds. My wife and I were paying H&R Block nearly $300 each in previous years to prepare our taxes in their office but now that we're married we attempted this alternative to save money. $40 was a welcomed alternative even though I had to go through the hassle of doing everything myself but now they just doubled the cost so deceptively, I'm upset. Had I known from the get go that it would be $80, I probably would have done it anyway but I wouldn't have been angry about it, I wouldn't have felt deceived. Now, I plan to post this on as many forums as I can find to provide a public service to anyone interested in purchasing software to file their own taxes. My advice, purchase any other software than H&R Block, don't perpetuate this act of deception. Additionally, if you plan to have your taxes prepared by a tax professional, don't go to H&R Block.

oh no no these are all free totally free so there really is no reason for anyone to suffer with these ads when it is so easy to be rid of all of them and FREE. Plus it is highly advised to always have at least 2 browsers on every computer because should IE fail (which it does often) then you are left with no access to the internet, with another browser added on like firefox you have the ability to get online even if IE is broken. Plus firefox is a safer browser. Some people do not realize you can use IE and firefox at the exact same time so you are not having to pick just firefox, you just click the firefox icon when you want to get online using firefox or click the IE icon if you want to use IE to go online. If you wanted to you could use firefox just to come to KT and use your IE for all other online activity. Nothing changes about your IE at all. When installing firefox it asks if you want to import your settings and faves/bookmarks from IE just say yes and it will set up your firefox exactly like your IE but does not change IE at all. Easy easy and Free
