jeeze how do you hit sales like that in the middle of the week. we only have them around my area on weekends! i havent been to one this year. right now im sitting on my butt doing absolutely nothing until my knee fixes itself and i can go back to work. lord old age gets ya no matter what you do lol. today i guess ill try finding a place to plant my eggplants lol, do a couple of loads of laundry..that will have to wait until my neice gets home, she has to carry the baskets lol. feed the clucks, and probably a hundred other little things i cant remember right now. guess ill stay in jammies for a while to figure it all out lol

Hi Loggerbaby, most of our sales are from Thurs. thru Sat. and once in awhile on Sunday. We don't have far to travel to go to them. It is always fun. How many "clucks" do you have? It has been many years since I had any and I really enjoyed them.

I got up early and went to town for breakfast club. Lisa couldn't make it, but her daughter came. A guy we used to work with came too. Talk, talk, talk! I had to leave before 9 because DIL was bringing Preston by to stay with me for awhile. She took Madisyne to the mini cheerleader camp. She came back soon as Madisyne wouldn't get out there with the other girls. She had so looked forward to doing the cheer leading and had several little girlfriends there. But I guess when you are 4½ you can change your mind. :o)
I'm not sure what I will do with the rest of the day. I am starting to feel some fatigue from the chemo, but not as bad as before. So I am trying to take it easy. I am hungry for spaghetti so might go to the new Italian restaurant for lunch.

So glad I opened this thread! Marilyn, you reminded me that I started a load of clothes when I first woke up and have forgotten about them! I got up, did a load of clothes then took Jason to his viola lesson. Came home, had breakfast and now I'm watching The View. I don't feel so well. Feel kind of like I'm catching a cold or something. My chest feels heavy, too. But......I'm having the company picnic here this evening so I have to get a move on!!

I had a hair appointment this morning but cancelled. I'm still sick and didn't want to start coughing all over everyone/and or have an asthma attack right in the middle of getting my hair highlighted. I need it badly but will just have to look bad for another week.

Woke up this morning to a massive charlie horse in my leg. My foot curled up on me too so I couldn't walk it out very well. I was almost in tears by the time it stopped. I need to get over this crap so I can start exercising again.

I've been getting tons of beans off my bean plants. I planted Rattlesnake beans and yard long bean. They're both fun to grow. One of my giant pumpkin vines is dead, thanks to squash vine borers. I hate those things with a passion. They also got my one good Delicata squash plant but I'm attempting to save it.

I need to weed my yard and take out some little trees but I got sick right after I started last week. Hopefully next week when I'm off again I can work some on it.

Back to work tomorrow.

reconciling bank statements, exchanging clothing for my brother and going with a friend to her appt. with atty., then going to her favorite chinese restaurant.

Made a Picnic cake this morning. Then cut up a cantaloupe for DH. It smelled really good, but I'm allergic. Sure was tempting though. DH will eat it if I have it ready for him. Same with watermelon.

Need to do some cleaning but I don't want to. LOL! Been looking a recipes in some cookbooks this a.m. Looking for some inspiration. ;-)

Still ungodly hot. We were supposed to cool off to the high 80's but now the weatherman rescinded it. Arrrggh!

BigBaby, I fixed the forgotten laundry problem at my house. :)
I put a clothes basket in the middle of the kitchen floor, as a reminder. So far, that works.

Bigbaby, here's the recipe. As you can see, it couldn't be easier. You don't even have to frost it.

PICNIC CAKE
1 yellow cake mix
10 reg. size marshmallows (I use more)
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Prehat oven to 350. Make cake batter according to package directions and pour into a 9x12" pan. Cut marshmallows in half and place over batter, cut side down. Mix brown sugar and nuts and sprinkle over top. Bake according to package directions.

Earlier - Facial, hair color and cut.
Now - laundry

5:30AM did laundry! Then I drove to the mainland to Costco and the Outlet Mall. (I bought some really cute dishes with sea shell pattern on the edge.) 12:30PM followed a tourist driving 30 mph all the way home (is summer over yet so they'll leave?) there was lots of traffic and no way to pass on our two lane highway. Got home, put away the groceries and I am done! Until I have to start dinner!

Okay, I'm officially having a crappy day! I'm having the company picnic here in an hour and a half, it's aobut 95 degrees with about 95% humidity and raining. There was a wasp nest under my andirondac chairs, Ron has a migraine and my son is being difficult! Grrrrrr!!!!

Sooooo, I finished the laundry, completely cleaned out my studio and rearranged the junk two of my kids have stored there. Had my brother in law come over and off the wasps. Cleaned all that up. Hung the hammock. Straightened the house and now I'm getting myself cleaned up!

Well, girl, count to ten, and breathe deeply. LOL, if that doesn't help, think of the fact, it is 5:00 o'clock somewhere already. :)

I unpacked my suitcases in the middle of the living room floor, sorted and filled the laundry baskets with loads. I don't mind the laundry, but really hate the ironing. A lot of my travel clothes are wash and wear, so shouldn't be to bad. I am hanging up my suitcases, my traveling days are over. This last cruise was to The British Isles on a very large ship, it was sold out and we were butt to butt in the Horizon Court buffet. I am tired of riding on buses on the excursions, tired of slow elevators and cold food and bored out of my mind. No more, but I must say the Norwegian Fjords were absolutely......amazing. I am trying to decide if I want a couple of cats or a dog and a cat. I was just at my neighbor's and held her dog, as cute as he was I was turned off by his odor. Cats never smell. Won't do anything until I am sure.

We went to the Iowa State Fair this morning. It was very hot and humid and then a nice breeze came up. I am so tired. We are just snacking for dinner and drinking plenty of fluids.

Woke up early to geese honking loudly flying overhead near my open bedroom window. How I love that sound. Emailed our daughter a Happy Anniversary, surfed, did dishes, rounded up trash for pickup today, then spent the rest of the day making cards which I love doing. Took care of our cats, and now I am back to surfing.
