Morning All on Wed.

Good morning everyone. I hope where you are your day is a great one. I just came in from picking a variety of tomatoes. I have quite a few so will start making and canning salsa pretty soon. I am cooling down right now. I did get pickles canned yesterday afternoon and now I have also picked more cucumbers. It is a nice day out here in central Indiana, 75 right now. Hope to hear what the rest of you are doing today. Hope you are having fun whatever you are doing.

Good morning Marilyn. I had a dr. appt this morning for a follow up on my knee surgery. I have a water exercise class this afternoon and then a group support meeting this pm. I am hoping to have time between the swimming and group to do a little shopping. Would like to spiff up the living room a little for fall--maybe a few new pillows and an area rug. Hope you have a good day and dont work too hard. Satine

I got up......does that count as a morning activity? ;*) I do have the bathroom cleaned, and my kitchen ready for the day. Went and picked up my mail and have gone through the circulars to make out my various lists for 'errand' day tomorrow.

I think today will be the day for me to get at my dusting.

Good afternoon everybody! We had a busy morning and I've been resting my tired feet. DH had to have blood work in town this morning so we went early and afterwards went to Sam's to stock up on meat. I think we have enough to last about 6 weeks now. We got-- Steaks - 4 filets. Cut way back on our beef intake so when we have a steak we want a good one. Don't eat a lot so those 4 will be 4 meals for us. Pork chops--9 1" boneless. They were marked down, too. Chicken breasts - 7 or 8. Boneless, skinless. Good for the grill. Salmon - a large piece that will be at least 3 meals worth. Pork roast - in an applewood bacon marinade. It's a little large but I can save it for company. Hamburger - 5 lbs. Roasted chicken - tonights dinner and tomorrow's chicken enchiladas. After Sam's we went to Lowe's. They had a drill on sale and DH really needed a new one. I wanted paint samples for the main bath. I'm thinking dusty rose but all the colors either look like pepto bismol or lavendar. Got a replacement for our outside coach light. Then we went to Publix. Hopefully I won't have to go back for a while since I stocked up on fresh fruit and veggies and some canned stuff in case of a hurricane. Now I need a nap since I woke up at 3:45!

Totally depends on what plant you have and where you are located on the planet:). You're in northern Ohio so your all day sun I'm assuming is safe as long as they're acclimated of course. The Echeverias you listed should be fine in all day sun as long as they're ready for it. Especially the E. ' Raindrops' looks good when recieving good amounts of sun. How much light you may give a plant could totally depend on your esthetic too. Do you like them with less color or more? I find I like some of my Agavoides with a little less light. I like when they look green and juicy. But then other Agavoides look so much better with more sun:). This one could use even more sun. Generally I like the look of my Echeverias with a little more sunlight. Not enough sunlight. Enough sunlight:). He starts getting sun at about 2pm. Then there are some plants no matter what the situation is I would never give all day sun:). So knowing what your plants like and don't like really helps. Like this Glottiphylum I like with less light. In lower light he gets a jelly green. These guys can take the sun too. As soon as I start giving him more sun his green gets more yellow. Me no likely:). My Crassula 'Devil's Horns' looks good with all day sun:). Looks like chilis. What I'm trying to say is it just depends. But if I had to choose one of the three. I would pick morning sun:).

I've been dawdling around, as usual. Went over to walk the neighbor's dog a bit....he's not expected to live much longer, but he's so happy to see me that I cannot believe he's in that shape, although very thin. Have a dr. appointment of my own later today, and will have some moles removed from my face. I've put it off way too long. It's going to be a hot one here today, so I'll have to water everything before it dies. We have had very little rain, so that's a problem.

Water aerobics first thing this morning.

Maybe new Chinese buffet for lunch.

That's probably it.

Hi Sue,

Did my five mile walk with Georgy...met lots of people I know today so it took a little longer than usual. Doing laundry today. That's about it. The sun is shining here but a little warm and humid.
