Thanks for all the good wishes. I am home from the hospital and recuperating. I know that having so many people on my cheer leading squad worked miracles for me.

Glad to hear it, Ruthie. I'll bet you had a network of ham radio operators cheering for you, too. Be patient and good to yourself in your recuperation!

Florence, thanks for the good wishes. We've had the best news - Gwynnie is much better. Pamela, I'll always remember your visit and hope that it's the first of many. I imagine you'd love the flush this year - like yours it's been the best ever! Diane, we'd be thrilled to have you. I only wish we'd been able to arrange it for this year. Hope we'll see you at the Heritage Rose Festival on the 21st.

Thanks for all the ideas on this. I bet it is one of my sewage vent stacks and I've pretty well narrowed it down to one that actually is under a water oak tree, weedmeister. It's a long way up to it and the roof is a very steep pitch so I'll hire it out sooner or later. It isn't such a problem as a curiosity at this point as it is a seldom seen occurrence... so far.

I have heard of quite a few miracles that have happened to people/their families/friends who post here at the KT. It's always uplifting to hear it. I hope/pray that your recuperating goes smoothly, and that you are well on your way to being on your feet again. Thanks for updating us.

So happy you are back home!

I was glad to read that you had the VATS surgery instead of the big, big incision. It will make healing that much easier I think.

Are you scheduled for pulmonary rehab? That is so important to work at that. It makes all the difference! I didn't start it until almost 6 months after my surgery due to therapist being ill & myself out of state for awhile. But we finally got together & already I can feel the benefit of it. My SOB (shortness of breath)is not totally gone but I can at least make it up the stairs without needing to take a nap when I get in the house.

Hang in there & keep those "lungs pumped"!
