If Malwarebytes is clean you can be pretty sure your ok, if you got infected you most likely to see some symptoms. Run the on-line scan below to double check for Malware. Establish an internet connection & perform an online scan with Firefox or Internet Explorer from here: http://www.kaspersky.com/kos/eng/partner/default/kavwebscan.html To optimize scanning time and produce a more sensible report for review: Close any open programs Turn off the real time scanner of any existing antivirus program while performing the online scan. Click when prompted to download and install the program files and database of malware definitions. Click Run at the Security prompt. The program will then begin downloading and installing and will also update the database. Please be patient as this can take several minutes. Once the update is complete, click on My Computer under the green Scan bar to the left to start the scan. Once the scan is complete, it will display if your system has been infected. you only want one of those programs like malwarebytes that run full time since you have the paid version of that one I would just stick with that and use the free version of superantispyware and do your scans manually with it after updating it. Speeding up is not something you can get a program to do,you need to do some cleaning out in the computer of programs or games and files that you no longer need or use and also if it is a desktop open the tower and make sure there are no dustbunnies in there, that can cause slowness and over heating. owbist, My sister has Norton Antivirus on her computer and it is suppose to take care of the Trojans. It also has virus protection, spyware protection, an inbound firewall. It has an outgoing and incoming email scanning and instant messenger scanning. She has no problems running Norton, or SuperAntiSpyware. I had her remove Ad-Aware 2007 because I believe it was either corrupt or just stopped working. She should have had 2008 but like I said her husband was seriously ill and then passed away Thanksgiving morning. She was up here when all this took place since he was brought here hoping to get him better care. I am trying to get her back on track with her computer with check disks, defrags and updates that she may have missed while she was here. Hi ravencajun, Thank you for all the information. Since I had her do the Check Disk and Defrag her computer has been faster and there seems to be no other problems. I haven't had her run another scan in SuperAntiSpyware yet, I wanted to make sure that everything was running smoothly again before we try running another scan. I do see where there is a place where she can click for a false positive if that should happen again. But before I would have her do that I will have her to uninstall and reinstall SuperAntiSpyware just to make sure Ad-Aware was not the cause of it showing something in the registry. I will look into Malwarebytes 'Anti-malware after everything else is done. I am very interested and from what you say it sounds like a pretty stable program. I will have to print out the instuctions and play with it myself before I get her involved with something new. I just lifted about 20 shade plants under an old pecan tree. I intend to add 3-4" of compost and replant them tomorrow. My question is do you all dig out around your trees like the Dirt Doctor recommends? Exposing the flare of the root system?? Now is the time for me to do this if you all think this is a good thing. If I need to, I will remove a few inches of this crappy soil so I don't pile it up around the trunk. Thanks all for your advice.
