Funny T shirts

It seems I'm on a lot of catalog mail lists. One arrived Saturday that I hadn't gotten before and I was looking at it. There were a lot of T shirts with messages in it and I was laughing when i read them. Here are a few of the funny ones:

There were lot more funny ones and there was one I thought was so cute for a father & son. They were, Big guy and Little guy.

WHAT AM I, FLYPAPER FOR FREAKS?

I own several weird t-shirts.

DD used to gift me with t-shirts that have little animals doing it in different positions. I have had geckos, pigs, mice, jungle animals and farm animals. The shirts looked very innocent until you took a closer look.

One of my favorites says The More I Annoy You The More Fun It Is For Me

My DS once performed a wedding held at a zoo. When he took off his robe at the reception we all burst out laughing. He was wearing a Recycle Your Animals t shirt.

Ok, they are gone. Now I am down to 2. Two little ones to keep me company. Until September 6th, then I will lose Dan to Pre-K/preschool. Sigh. I am fine. I just have to remember how much I used to get done when they weren't here, asking for meals, snacks and juice all the time! Back to the days of a schedule. Maybe that is what I am sad about. The dreaded SCHEDULE! EEk! Just kidding. I am really not upset. I just hate summer to end, carefree summer days. Love them with all my heart! When there is frost again and no flowers I will really be sad! Carpe Diem! Right Girls? Becki, I can totally relate to trying to control a crowd of kids when trying to shop for clothing in the store. I am going to tell you the cure all story that has worked for me. My mother totally cured me of bad public behavior. She used this method on me exactly 1 time in my life. In church. I have not had to use it yet, but the children all know about it, how bad it is, and how it has left a very serious impression on me since I was 5 years old. I recommend only telling your children about it as a threat. Look away if you do not have a strong stomach for torture and psychological manipulation of small people. Here it comes: My mother was not too happy with my squirming in church one Sunday morning, I was talking, fooling around with my brother, I believe we were both knuckle punching each other. I nailed him hard enough for him to yelp. My Mom had reached her limit! She lightly looped her hand under my upper arm, I thought she was going to move me away from my brother. Then shock appeared in my eyes, then pain registered in my brain, next the tears started welling up in my eyes. My mother leaned down to my ear and whispered "If you cry or make any noise, I will do it AGAIN." While she had looped her arm through mine she pinched the soft underside of my little upper arm with her long nails and twisted the skin over 180 degrees. I sucked it up as hard as I could, little gulps, heaving chest and silent sniffs. I sat perfectly still and never goofed off in church again, (unless I was seated next to Dad, then I quietly goofed off with him, careful not to be caught by mom). I absolutely never ever embarassed her in public again, gone were the days of hiding in clothes racks, and tormenting my brother anywhere near her! Oh yeah, and I made sure that I always made Tom sit next to mom in church after that.

L.L. Bean is a good suggestion. They did carry a t-shirt called "Saturday T.-shirt" which was a shorter t-shirt. Not so short that you're stomach is exposed, but a good length with shorts, jeans, etc. Despite being long wasted, they weren't too short on me. I'm 5'8". They wash well and last forever. I have them in all sorts of colors, so I didn't need to order them last summer. Hopefully, they are still carrying that style. Target stopped carrying the Cherokee t-shirts and replaced them with the Mossimo brand. Don't care for the Mossimo since it has too much elasticity in the fabric makeup. Feels like it has a bit of lycra or something which makes it feel like it is too fitted for me. I like roomier t-shirts, not bigger men's type shirts, just not clingy. The Cherokee was more of a brushed cotton, which washed & dried without a wrinkle. So disappointed that Target stopped carrying the Cherokee tee;( I do like a bit longer t-shirt for the gym, not covering my butt, however, not riding up, exposing my back while exercising. I usually buy separate workout wear for that very reason.

I wear long pants and long sleeve shirts during the sun months (for protection). My dermatologist told me that I must protect from sun burn and tannning. He said that I was running risk of skin cancers even if I exposed gently. He said that for me a tan and skin damage were tightly coupled. He told me that i should apply protective lotion when I ventured out this summer. He had performed a peel on my face earlier this year to remove pre-cancerous cells and a couple of dark spots. I may have looked strange to my neighbors this summer since I wore a straw hat while mowing my lawn. I know; My attire was old style or maybe a better descriptor was no-style.

I'm with you, Kathsgardn. When we were at the Grand Canyon this spring we bought tee shirts that I had put away and forgotten--I have to wear sleeveless, cooler shirts in the summer because I feel the heat more intensely than most. As it cooled down yesterday I pulled it out and was pleased to notice it was a nice weight. And I remember being quite pleased with the price too--quite a bit less than I expected to pay! Yes, these thin, ridiculous shirts have been foisted upon us by greedy manufacturers who call it "style." I would be willing to pay more for a heavier shirt, but they don't seem to exist.

I, too, love these T-shirts. I have one that I love and get lots of compliments on. It says:

The Ultimate in feminine protection.
.22 for light days
.45 for heavy days.

I LOVE T-Shirts with sayings on them., but not just "funny" ones. I'm more apt to be seen in a t-shirt that says something that means something to ME! Not long after my husband died, I bought a t-shirt that says "This is NOT the life I ordered"! Someone ALWAYS comments on it! I also made (iron-on) myself a couple of shirts. One says "When life and love have shattered your heart..where do the broken pieces fall" and the other says "Life Has Taught Me Lessons I Had No Desire to Learn".

Dotmom, I am surprised MY sister hasn't gotten that first one!!! LOL Every year (and I am 59) I get a birthday card from her that says how great SHE is!!! It is a joke in our family.

my favorite tee says
"Forget the box..Just think Outside". My other favorite says "Be the Change"

My SO has one from Bass Pro that says " Fish fear me, Women want me"
I don't think its funny. He respects that and only wears for a work shirt now.

I have one that I bought in a store near Mt. Rushmore many years ago and have sadly outgrown it. While there this summer I replaced it with a much larger one. lol

On the front it shows the presidents heads and says Mt. Rushmore. On the back there is a couple looking over a fence at 4 pair of legs and bare butts. It says "near as I can tell we're somewhere behind Mt. Rushmore". I have people stopping me all the time to read the back.

Along the talk nerdy line of thinking, this was my father's day gift from my son.

Some of you may remember that I have a landscape maintenance business, therefore this was my father's day present from my daughter.

I live on the Keeweenaw peninsula (tip top of MI. U.P.) and tourism is the biggest industry here. My husband works with a guy who has a cousin with a t-shirt that says:

Welcome to Keeweenaw.
Now go home.

For some reason, it makes me laugh every time I see it.
