Good morning. I am wondering what everyone is going to be doing today? I maybe riding along with Amber while she shops for her weekly groceries. I have already gotten mine for the week. The weather is so nice I will sit in the truck with Harley and Angel. Harley still has staples so she doesn't leave him alone. He had a good report yesterday from his biopsy, no cancer. Some liver problems but they can be managed with a change in diet and possibly getting him off of one of his seizure medications. He also has irritated bowels and a urinary tract infection. Of course he has been on 3 different medications since he got out of the animal hospital.

It has been a busy week of running here and there for one thing and then another. I think most of my weeks are like that. I guess we could use some rain in our part of the country (Indiana) to help with the beans, but the corn is looking so good this year and for now the beans are too.

Hair appt. this morning, then laundry and getting ready for a busy weekend - a 3 day car show that runs all day and into the late evening every night.

Glad to hear that Harley is doing better ! Only plans I have will be a trip to the grocery store & Walmart. We are in the middle of a heat wave so most of my day will be spent keeping the plants and animals watered and cool.

I had egg salad for my breakfast too. j Just a half sandwich. I was in a rush to get out the door to go ride. Passed the 90 mile mark in the virtual race today today! 10 more left. So proud of my school horse. We're sad it's coming to an end.

Paint: I would wait on selecting a color until you have your furniture and accessories chosen. The present color (in picture anyway) feels washed out and a creamy white would be more modern and crisp. - Built in‘s/tv location: with the width on both sides of fireplace being different, you’ll have to configure bookcases accordingly, if going that route. Hard to order anything bulky that doesn’t get abused and arrive with some damage. Can you live with it? If not, I hope you didn’t destroy the packaging even more because you will be required to repackage it and send it back in most cases. Maybe you can get a slight discount for the damage? The problem with ordering anything is if you need to return it.

I've dusted and vacuumed the Florida room and have a pot of ham and beans cooking. Moved the furniture around in the FR. It's a longish, narrow room and not too many ways to arrange the furniture, but I keep trying anyway! I still have to clean the kitchen and make Ivamae's blueberry muffins.

Lauren's home sick so I called in to work today. She's sleeping right now...still. I'm feeling a little congested myself, scratchy throat. I hope I'm not coming down with anything. I have to work this weekend and don't need to call in anymore.

I need to clean the house. Just ate my first meal of the day a little bit ago, lunch I was supposed to take to work today.

Got my first big tomato last night off the vine, Brandywine. One of them I had to throw out, was rotten. This one was really good. I've been picking big cherry/paste volunteers and a yellow cherry for weeks now but this was my first big tomato. My plants aren't doing too well this year, the ones in the new raised beds, anyway. The big paste/cherry whatever it is, is huge and doing good in the old garden with the watermelons. Can't wait to try the first melon, Moon & Stars. I need to remember to water them better. That's probably why my tomatoes and eggplant aren't doing too well in the raised bed.

Woke up this morning & my husband had a lovely strawberry shortcake awaiting my breakfast. Yesterday the same, except fresh raspberry. We decided that we prefer angelfood cake to a traditionl shortcake biscuit as a base, so it's still relatively light eating.

I'll probably spend this afternoon at our Main Library on the microfilm reader doing archived newspaper research. I & a fellow down in Los Angeles are on a joint project to find out whatever happened to the 12 children in a family that we've already done parental research on. I hope to leave with both my eyes intact.

On the way home, I'll probably stop off at our neighborhood Thai restaurant for takeout for our evening meal...probably pad kee mo, but with tofu rather than meat. Don't think my husband will be especially pleased, but trying to cut down a little on meat eating around here.

Afterward. DH is planning to go to one of those numerous foreign movies he attends (Japanese currently; I only do French, occasionally Italian),so I'll jusy stay home & relax with the dogs.

Man, strawberry shortcake for breakfast. I am so jealous!
