JIm-1..... ha ha....they are all photos out of my own garden. Everything you see is REAL! I have literally hundreds of hummingbird photos so you may see a few more here.....:0)

You can stop a hummingbirds wings with a fast shutter speed like I did with the gladiolas or a flash on a cheap point & shoot camera like I did here.

Edited to say: The background is REAL too. It's diffused light streaming through the scrub oak that overhangs the gladiolas. (I did add the signature) :0)

I just love all the pictures of hummingbirds. Our little hummers sure are going through the food right now, keeping me busy cleaning and refilling feeders.

Some flowers in our yard. I think they are a type of lily but they look like spindly red bugs.

Nicole, I am always in awe of your hummingbird pictures. I know you spend lots of time taking pictures, so I'm not surprised that you get really good ones!

murraysmom, those flowers in Bob's pics are commonly called 'Spider Lilies'. It is a bulb called Lycoris. They are stunning.

I love spider lilies I had some I planted at my parents house right out in front by the road. I wish I had some for my garden here.
