Thanks, murraysmom and jasdip! I entered that basket in the State Fair "fiber techniques" competition this year. It took 3rd place so will be on display at the NYS Fair if anyone wants to see it. lol!

Pic of a grouping? nothing handy. Here's a link to a brief slideshow of some baskets that I made years ago! These were all past ribbon winners at the Fair. I really should take pics of more recent baskets.

I would love to learn make pine needle baskets, I've seen instructions online....never took the next step. My sister took a class where they cut their own sea grass and made a basket....she never finished hers.....:0(

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone! I'm always happy to show my baskets and talk about basket weaving. :O) I'm currently teaching myself to weave with homegrown willow. It's a b*tch! but so worth every moment of the struggle.

nicole, get the 'Pine Needle Basketry' book by Judy Mallow from your local library or amazon/ebay/half.com! It is the best resource available that teaches how to do pine needle basketry.
