Hi... I'm Back!

Well, its been a very long month. I had a wonderful day today, so its time for the update.

I got home Thursday, I'm doing good. DH is still not so good but with God's helping hands he will recover. Please keep praying for my DH, Ken.

After a month I finally got out today with my DDIL and did some (a lot) of shopping. Would you believe I wore her out!! I am totally give out but now I feel good.

We went and got DH a lift chair that helps him out of the chair into standing position. This is a big help for his stomach.

Then I hit the Dollar Tree and made a pig out of myself, then Walmart & a few more places. I forgot to eat till almost 2:30 when I remembered. I haven't eaten much in quite some time. You would think I would be rail thin by now but I gained 10 Lbs of fluid. Hopefully it will come off with about 20 more Lbs. Food is no longer my desire.

I went to bed about 9:15 pm, slept hard for about 1 1/2 hrs and here I am raring to go!

Ask what you will, there is just too much to tell.

I am still adding to the KT Gathering Place as I can. The craft page is really filling up. If you can't use any of it, I know I will.

I hope everyone has been well. This is the first time I have been on since I went into the hospital. I will be adding some hospital info too. I have learned alot in a month.

Great to be home again!!!!!

great to have you back Jo Ann, you have been missed, keeping you and your DH in my thoughts and prayers. Don't go overboard on doing things, it may cause a set back. Take care.

Thanks for the Warm Greetings everyone. You Guys are too funny... Don't Get Rid Of The Dishes!!! DH got a real laugh over that. I'm hanging on to one set which is going to DD. As far as the other set, they're too FL looking..(palm print). I didn't have too many dishes here..ate out mostly...hehehe. I feel for all of you who got socked with all that snow. I've been keeping up with the weather back home, thank goodness we left last week instead of this. I hear we got a walloping 15" too..and to think I've been complaining that it's 'chilly' here! So far, we've only had one really warm day. It's been mostly in the low 50's, and at night, in the 40's. PD...that would be funny you taking pictures of my things from Goodwill..I would have loved to see them 'live on' somewhere else. It's funny though, a couple of the women who worked there, kept raving over how nice some of the things were. I'll bet some items don't make it onto the shelves, for sale..lol Well...I still have to line someone up for the furniture. Tomorrow is another busy day. Stay warm...talk to you all again... jane

Judith, Just wanted you to know that your Candy tree is featured in the "Tree Trimming - Your Pix" post by Garden Web!!! All the trees are beautiful to be sure but after seeing it last year you inspired me to make one of my own, kitchen sized like yours, and I've been collecting candy ornaments ever since. Great news, Taunia! Quitting smoking is, according to my husband, the most difficult thing he's ever done. It took years for him to truly lose the craving, but you should hear him now... he's in ever-so-much-better physical health, can actually taste food, loves clean air, isn't tied to that little package that ruled his life... ha-ha... I'm sure you feel the same way. I'm proud of you for having the determination to DO IT! Sure am glad you are doing better. We've missed you here, and there, and everywhere! Can't wait to see your new contributions to the forums.

Now listen here young lady, just because you "feel" good, don't go running around and make yourself overly tired and have a set-back.

So good to see you back! Yes, don't overdo. It's so easy.....we want to accomplish everything we were unable to do before. But I must say your shopping energy far exceeds mine!

Glad I got my electricity back just so I could read your post. What welcome news. You sound wonderful. However, I go along with everyone else's warnings and I speak from experience. Just because you feel so good and are happy to be home, do NOT over do. Trust me, the bottom will fall out. Get a little rest every day. We want you well enough to come to the table. Good thoughts and prayers coming your way for both you and Ken.
