Hi nodakgal!! sue and kat!! how are you guys? hope you are well. I just finished 40 radiation treatments. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January.
I know -- who knew! I've been going for mammos every year for the past 25 years -- really. And there it was -- this one inch tumor in my right breast. I had a lumpectomy. They took out four lymphodes (all clear). Now I'm taking a cancer pill everyday for the next five years.
I know - unbelievable.
I'm always telling God to stop f&&*ing with me. lol. But he knows he can count on me.
I'm here at my Bed & Breakfast cause HE wants me to be here. And if anyone of you doesn't believe this, please email me.
I never thought I would be an innkeeper. But here I am and loving it! We just did a new website -- bythebluff.com. Okay - now I'm going to be deleted cause I mentioned my website.

You stopped by and told us about your cancer.
that's one of the reasons I wanted to know how you
are feeling. I know someone who just stopped her
tamoxifin... (sp) last month. yea!

Welcome back! Glad you are doing so well. A positive attitude counts for as much as the treatments and medication! You sound upbeat and happy, am sooooo happy for you.

It seems crazy to say this -- but I feel like the cancer was a blessing in disguise. I feel so empowered now. I was always one to express how I felt, but going through this, kind of humbled me on one hand, but on the other hand I feel like "bring it on!"
I think it made me realize that we all have problems and not one of us is perfect, but when the s**t hits the fan, we can all dig deep down and find the courage that God has given us. It's amazing. It truly is.
I don't think we realize how strong we are. Okay now I'm rambling.
I'm going to post pictures. I hope. of our new Duffy. He's such a dope lol. Daisy hates him. He's a lovable dope, though.

I hope we all realize what we have here. How is it that most of us never, ever met each other, but we can come back to this site and feel so loved and so accepted!?
It seems like it doesn't matter that we're not perfect -- there's always someone here who will understand.
No matter what we go through, there's always someone here who's been through worse.
So, whatever is on your mind, right now, if you think it's too embarrasing to talk about, let us know and we will do our best to help you.
Sometimes I felt like it was the end of the world, but whenever I felt like that, I came here, and I felt better. Love, me

hey trisha i'm on fermera, too...and so it my dh's coz...has it left you tired? i can't imagine caring for a b&b, besides! i'm haivng mini hot flashes i'd never had before, lol...

It so good to have you back with us. There are a lot of us Cancer Sisters here who know what you are talking about for sure. I have never considered myself a strong person but having been a two time Cancer survivor, I feel like I can do most anything now. Your B&B is beautiful. I am sure that it gives you a lot of pleasure.

sandiefl, yes, yes. I thought it was running up and down the stairs changing beds. But it has left me tired.
oh my god, I'm so glad you posted this. I'll be sweating, then not even 3 minutes later, I'm cold. So I have blankets beside me and I'm constantly putting them over me then kickng them off.
Did you have radiation? I thought it was the left over affects of the radiation.
I'm going to my oncologist and breast surgeon on Aug 2 and 3. They are the best of the best. They are in NYC. I don't mean to say that every doctor in NYC is the best, but, really, these guys are the best. honestly.
When I go in August, I will get it out of him. They seem not to want to tell you the symptoms. Did YOU feel that way?
For me to tell my hubby "I feel tired", I FEEL TIRED. Remind me to tell you what he says. I'll kick his ass if he doesn't. lol.
