Cruising, I watched it for the first time EVER! GS was amazed I had never seen it.

How many times have you seen the movie?

Also The Natural, I watched.

Being as he is a baseball player, I told him it was a MUST to see..

I love both of those movies! Grease 2 isn't very good. I introduced my then 5 year old grandson to the Indiana Jones trilogy and it's been a fave of his (he's 14 now.) Gotta expose those grandkids to the "new clasics." ;-)

Are you talking about the one with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John?

My sister and I used to be a huge fan of Olivia Newton-John and we had watched her movies and concert.

John Travolta was so young back then.

The ones on my iPod now: Saturday Night Fever, Pippin (oops--not a movie, a play), 1776, Hello Dolly, Return to Me (Dean Martin sings some tunes), Runaway Bride, Thelma & Louise, Peter's Friends, Oklahoma. I also like the soundtrack for "Much Ado About Nothing," the movie version that Emma Thompson, Denzel Washington and Kenneth Branagh are in. (The music for the scene in which Denzel and Keanu Reeves and the other horsemen are approaching the village -- terrific.)

Veronica Cartwright (talk about a thread killer!) was in The Witches of Eastwick with Cher. ;) PS Charles Grodin has been in many movies for decades. He was the father in the Beethoven movies about a dog, and The Heartbreak Kid. More of a character actor, I suppose. This post was edited by dedtired on Fri, Feb 15, 13 at 18:38

I loved Shirley Valentine. Had forgotten all about that one. My favorite movie is The Sheltering Sky. I also love The Piano, Seven Years in Tibet, Everything's Illuminated, Out of Africa and I have seen the documentary, Grey Gardens at least 20 times.

Here's a trivia fact for everyone: It's easy enough to assume that the song "The Man Who Shot LIberty Valence" was in the movie of the same name. It was written for the movie, but was not used. Gene Pitney.recorded the song and had success with it but it was not in the movie. The music track in the video linked to above is by Gene Pitney..

It is on cable TV every other month..hard to miss. I am amazed "Barbarino" evolved into a long lasting actor!!
I find it curious when I find movies I loved back in the day that my own children also appreciate. This is one!! The Indiana Jones movies also. Pretty sure I would sleep through "The Natural". I logged a lot of time at the drive in movies watching the Trinity movies, I wonder if my teens would find them half has hilarious as we did?

Oh my...I have seen Grease at least 100 times.
I am not exagerating.
When I was a teen we would watch over and over, singing along and dancing around the house. Good memories with good friends!

Even before the Travolta/Olivia movie came out, I saw a stage production of Grease (not Broadway, but professional) and loved it! "Beauty School Dropout" is my favorite song!

Probably a 100 times... when my DD was younger she had a fixation on this movie. I've also seen The Wizard of Oz 100 times.. when that was her movie of choice. lol

John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John is the one.

Usually the volume is up so HIGH on the deck you can't hear yourself talk, but this time it was so low you could hardly hear.
